Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal was arrested by kerala police on friday after being questioned for the third day over allegations that he raped a nun for several occassions between 2014 and 2016. Soon after the report of it emerged, the case triggered protests by members of the church throughout Kerala. The allegations against the 54 year old bishop were first made nearly three months ago. Kerala had witnessed a huge public outcry and an unprecedented public protest by five nuns of the victim seeking the bishop's arrest. Torrential rains lashed parts of Delhi-NCR region on today morning bringing some respite from high humidity in the city. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted showers in the area along with a cloudy weather. The Delhi traffic police tweeted alerts about flooding on some roads in the city, and asked people to avoid taking certain routes. Power supply was also affected in some areas because of the downpour. The minimum temperature was recorded at 23.5 degrees, three notches below the season's average. The Met forecast said that more spells of rains and thundershowers to occur during the day. According to the department, the monsoon axis is looming over states Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand due to which heavy rains are expected in the following days.

After former President and Congress veteran leader Pranab Mukherjee, industrialist Ratan Tata to share stage with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. He has accepted the invite from an RSS affiliated NGO. He will attend an event organised in Mumbai by RSS affiliated NGO call Nana Palkar Smriti Samiti. He had earlier met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in December 2016 at RSS headquarter. In June this year the former President attended the RSS function in the party's Nagpur headquarters.
