Luke writes telling of the amazing move of the Holy Spirit on the hearts of the people in the early church. If we are to be people of vision, we must live in unity, live by example and live with expectation.

Paul writes Timothy, a young pastor and encourages him to not just say the correct things, but to order his life around a Godly example for who will come after him. We are to set the example in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity.

James the brother of Jesus writes with clarity how our life should be about showing compassion and action. We must say and believe the right things but also we are to receive the word and let it be shown by intentional action.

As Paul writes his final letter recorded in scripture to Timothy, he gives him the most important imperative in His ministry, making disciples. He encourages him to be strengthened by grace, share in suffering, and spread the word.

Paul addresses the church in Rome through his letter and encourages them in their pursuit of heart change through the Gospel. We must allow the Gospel to make us zealous and confident in our service towards Jesus through loving people.

Paul explains in simple terms how we all carry the DNA of the ministry of Jesus, our leader, savior and head. We are all gifting specifically as apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers.

As Paul writes the church in Rome He tells them of their great position in the family of God as they depend on Jesus as their strength as adopted sons and daughters. Because of Jesus we are adopted as children, received as heirs and glorified with Him

As Paul writes a new church in Ephesus he opens his letter with the core of how the Gospel redefines us. We learn that God formed us, we walked away, He rescued us and He keeps us through the power of the resurrection.

When Paul writes his encouraging letter to the church in Rome, he begins by telling them the most important thing in their life must be the Gospel. We have been given the gift of Jesus, the church, and the mission to make disciples.

As Nehemiah is in the middle of leading the building of the wall of Jerusalem, he gives clear instruction to the people about what is important and how they should accomplish the vision. God expects us to serve. In order to serve well we must see each other’s value, sympathize with pain, and then seize the opportunity.

As Nehemiah prepares to ask the King to rebuild the wall he is afraid and has to leave his life of comfort if he is going to accomplish what God has for Him. We must choose to cooperate with God and overcome the competing factors in our life that would keep us from fulfilling His will.

As Paul writes the letter of Philippians from prison he proclaims the truth of the Gospel and his unity with them in belief. He encourages them as he prays for them to approve what is excellent, be pure and blameless, and be filled with righteousness. If a fresh move of God is going to happen in our community, we must let the Gospel lead us to love.

When Jesus is hanging on the cross he pleads with his heavenly Father to not withhold His forgiveness from the people who are crucifying him. Jesus forgives and heals us instantly, completely, repeatedly and freely.

Paul shares a message of unity with the Ephesian church and encourages them to maintain the unity in the Gospel. If we as a church are going to reach the vision he has for us, we must pursue unity.
