Daniel was pushed to absolute trust in God when he was cast into the lion’s den for a simple act of prayer. His king desperately intercedes for him that he may survive the lions den and the angels of the Lord shut the mouth of the lion. God was doing something deep in Daniel in order to do a great work through him.

Waiting is a difficult thing, but the Psalmist gives us insight of what we should do while we wait. We should Ask God for his direction and anticipate his answer.

Over 40% of the Psalms are about Lament, and the psalmist shows us how to glorify God through our lament. Through this, we know to trust in Him, and give Him glory in all that we do.

The desire of the writer of the Psalm is that we be rooted in the Word of God so we will be ready to hear God’s voice. We discern the will of God through His blessings, His pictures, and His warnings.

Joshua is given the command to Father the nation of Israel after Moses’ death. The one thing that he is instructed in is courage. Courage is the art of dependence. As we pursue courage we must overcome danger, distraction, disappointment, and devastation.

God is calling us forward as a church to remember the burdens we face will be turned into a double blessing. As we push forward with purchasing the land, adding a service, growing our church, and expanding the influence of Jesus, we must leverage our position in Christ, the anointing of the Spirit and our praise to the Father.

Paul helps us understand our individual and corporate responsibility as the body of Christ to serve one another and the community with optimum function. We are to evaluate our strengths, cooperate with other believers, motivate with the Holy Spirit, and activate our spiritual gifts.

Paul writes his ending to his letter to the Romans and reemphasizes his mission and his calling to the Gentiles on his missionary journeys. Today, we can take a strong cue from Paul in how he executes his ministry. If our church is going to grow we must show hospitality, acceptance and mercy as we bring people in, build them up, and send them out.

Paul draws a clear line in the sand that we must be about keeping the peace in our relationships by not majoring on the minors. In order to have successful relationships, we must exhibit agreeability, acceptance, and attention with people.

Paul gives us a practical view of what it means to live a life of Unstoppable Integrity. If we are going to live this way honoring Jesus we must, pay up, lift up, wake up, stand up, clean up, and dress up.

God establishes authority and all authority is allowed by God. We must realize the purpose of government is to protect life, order, resolve conflict, and provide accountability to us as people. God’s authority supersedes all authority.

The church is meant to be the single most influential gathering of people continually on earth. How we love each other will reveal the power of God to our community. We must reveal honor, hope, hospitality, harmony, and humility.

Paul begins the final section of Romans in helping us understand the will of God through the process of sacrifice. This process of perfection is experienced through personal dedication and spiritual transformation.

The resurrection of Jesus is marked and recorded by astonishing and miraculous facts. Nicodemus comes into a relationship with Jesus through a process of confusion, conviction, then conversion.

The Apostle Paul shows us from Romans 11 that our salvation, holiness, and mission has nothing to do with what we do but what our roots are. If our branch is connected to the roots of Jesus we will live a life others are jealous of, live holy lives, and receive mercy despite our disobedience. Glory to God!

A continuation of our series in Romans. We see the love and mercy that God has for His people.

As we live out our mission in this world we are to use the finances entrusted to us to show compassion, live in obedience, satisfaction and ultimately trust God for our future.

Jesus describes for us what it means to follow him has his disciple when he talks to the rich young ruler. Jesus shows us that being a disciple is about living our live fully dependent upon him. Being a disciple is not just about following a set of rules but it is about giving everything to Jesus.
