Why is the distribution of Scriptures a biblical priority? Because, • Scripture is the special revelation of God• It is about Jesus Christ• It makes Scriptures effectual in the hearts of sinners (Mark 16:20)• Christians can distribute nothing more powerful than the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12)• God's Word is fundamental to revivals and conversion• Christians should have a missionary heart to see sinners converted• Christians should have confidence in God's Word• Christians have a duty to pray over the Scriptures for sinners to come to Christ.

A children's address on Christian missionaries who went throughout the world sharing the Word of God to those in foreign lands. The message begins with the questions, do we speak to our neighbours? The missionaries Samuel Burns, Hudson Taylor and Adoniram Judson all had a burden to share the Bible with their foreign neighbours.

The power of God's Word in the Reformation can be seen in (1) how it worked during that time, (2) how it was taught, and (3) how we seek the power of the Word today. The Word is the voice of God and He speaks to us with law and gospel. The power comes by the Holy Spirit who brings the Word into our hearts.

Within society we see that the Word of God seems to be dimming. There are many issues that are contrary to what the Scriptures teach. As the Word of God is under siege, will we let the Word speak to us? will we live by it?

A principle aim of the Society is to 'publish and distribute the Holy Scriptures throughout the world in many languages'. Of the approximately 6,500 languages in the world today only about 670 have complete Bibles, and many of those Bibles were produced using unsound translation principles and inferior Biblical language texts. It is the aim of the Society to provide sound, accurate and trustworthy Scriptures to needy souls around the world in as many languages as possible. Millions of the Trinitarian Bible Society's Bibles and Scripture items are distributed throughout the world each year, either as sales or as grants. The meeting begins with Mr. Greendyk providing updates on the work and activities of the USA branch. Following the updates Rev. E. Hakvoort gives a sermon on the importance of the work of the Society.
