There is a very dangerous phenomenon and that is the feminization of men. When I say feminization I mean that we are living in a generation where an alarming number boys are growing up in a single-parent household and are being raised by single women. There is a number of unintended consequences for this phenomenon. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NASB) say "Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Stand firm act like men." This verse is powerful because in this day and age if you tell a young man to act like a man very few of them have a biblical template they can follow. Consequently, if they do not have a role model to follow most men will create their own. This is where things can get very dangerous because, in most cases, these individuals are taking their cues from pop culture and not the Bible. One of the godliest men in the Bible is Boaz out of the book of Ruth. We will glean lessons from his life that all men should follow.

The word "emote" means, to role play in a theatrical fashion. In other words, we could suggest thoughts are the script and emotions are the actors. Therefore, whatever you are thinking about you will start to role play with your emotions. If satan can get you to begin thinking about the wrong things, it will not be long before he turns you into a “basket case,” making your emotions act out the thoughts in your head. Even the presence of one negative emotion over an extended period is enough to sabotage your happiness. We must become skilled in our thinking because it is the primary factor/influence that determines how we are feeling. Confrontation is never easy especially when the one you love is involved in sexual sin. Most of us desire peace at any price. Unfortunately, this peacekeeping mission is more often motivated by fear than virtue. The Bible says "blessed are the peacemakers". It does not say "blessed are the peacekeepers. Behavior psychologist studies suggest that 80 percent of a person’s unhappiness can come from one other person. Now think about it for a moment, for many individuals that "other" person is their spouse. We are connected to people in three different ways: 1. Blood (family members) 2. Love (dating or marriage) 3. Money (career). Finding yourself in those difficult relationships can cause disconnection, diminishing love, and powerlessness. Feeling frustrated in relationships can be a good thing. It may demonstrate that you are compassionate, that you want the best for other people, and that you are very loving, and you have good intentions.
