Healing and forgiveness are intrinsically linked, that is why Jesus said to the paralysed man in Mark 2, 'That you may know the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins, I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.' I know Jesus is alive, I talked with Him this morning. The reality of our relationship with Christ is in knowing Him. I talk to Him, He talks to me. Receiving my healing from throat cancer many years ago led me into a more positive experience in my Christian life: the realisation that if God says it in His Word then He will always do it! 'And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.' What a miracle, under the rules of the Temple, Jews had to continually make sacrifices to atone for their sins, but the Bible says Jesus died once to forgive the sins of the world and set us free! I want to declare the glory of Jesus. Put your faith in Him. He has Power to heal, deliver and set you free. As you turn to Jesus, He'll fill you with unspeakable joy. When Peter healed the lame man outside the temple in Acts 3, the man was so full of joy, he began leaping and praising God: God can do the same for you. What joy, what rejoicing, awaits those who receive the victory of the Lord. Peter and John were on their way into the Temple to pray, when a lame man called out for help. Peter, unable to give money, gave something of greater value, he reached out his hand, pulled the lame man up, and as he did so, the man arose, completely healed! There are many things we are unable to change; whatever we do or try, some circumstances can't be changed by human power alone. But suddenly, when Jesus speaks, everything changes for the better. 'Jesus got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The disciples were amazed and asked, "What kind of Man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!"' The disciples marvelled at Jesus, "What kind of Man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!" Despite all the miracles they had witnessed, something happened that one day which completely astonished them. Blessed are those who believe; though you do not see Him, you trust Jesus, and rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. Even though you can't see Jesus, even though you can't touch Him, you can talk to Him through prayer. Jesus is as close to you as the words on your lips. Jesus understands our weaknesses, for He faced all the same testings we do, yet He did not sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:15-16). 'We come before Your throne' by www.vinesong.com

Jesus has power to heal every sickness and disease. As you come before Him in worship, with a spirit of faith and courage, you will be cleansed and healed. 'Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go' (Joshua 1:9). 'You intended this for harm, but God intended this for good, to bring about the salvation of many' (Genesis 50). I was sentenced to years in prison for Bible smuggling; when I had no food, I learnt how to pray; when I had no friends, I learnt how to pray; when I had no Bible, I learnt how to pray. I learnt how to talk to God in that prison. He was nearer to me in that prison than at any time before. Jesus was so near. He is friend! I know Him. I love Him! Hallelujah! Jesus always knows in advance what is going to happen. And on this occasion, He felt the need to go alone to pray. - It is wonderful to pray together as a body of believers, but to receive strength for each day we need to be alone with God in prayer. Jesus has a purpose in everything. I can tell you with absolute confidence, God is in control of my life! He is the boss. He is in control. He loves me. I do what He says. With Jesus it is never too late; if only you will come and believe that He can work the miracle. Just one touch from Jesus and He'll say, 'Go in peace, your faith has made you well.' I believe in life after death. The Scripture teaches that death is not the end, it is only a beginning, it is the path to life eternal. There is a resurrection of the dead! The Apostle Paul taught, 'If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. Jesus is speaking very personally to you today, whether you have had a lifetime of pain and suffering, whether you are a father and mother, or if you are a child, He says to you, "Don't be afraid, just trust Me."  'Psalm 23' used by kind permission of www.vinesong.com

Sometimes we get a sense of tragedy in our lives: if only God had answered me; if only things had been different; if only I had gone in a different direction. - But this is the challenge to every one of us, Jesus asks, "Why are you afraid, only believe; trust in Me."
