What does it mean to take off my old self and put on the new self that Jesus offers me ? One of the clearest signs that I am a sinner is how annoyed I get when people talk about sin. I don’t want to hear it. I want to change the topic. I start to question their motives, tell myself they are judgmental and self righteous. Paul has waited till chapter 3 to talk about sin because he wants his hearer’s to know that he cares about them, that he wants to seem them succeed, that he is for them.
