  • What does it mean to "walk worthy?"

    04/06/2023

At the beginning of chapter 4 a shift takes place in the book of Ephesians. Paul moves from the "Spiritual riches" a believer has in Christ to our "Spiritual response" - He challenges the church to "Walk Worthy" - but that does that mean? Let's look at Ephesians 4:1-6 as we kick off the back half of the book of Ephesians.

  • A prayer for Spiritual Power

    21/05/2023

We have arrived at the end of our series... MADE WORTHY. Paul is transitioning from "who we are in Christ because of God's glorious riches" (Ephesians 1-3) to "how we live in response." (Ephesians 4-6) We find ourselves diving into Paul's second prayer in this book... the first one was found in chapter 1 - a prayer for Spiritual understanding and enlightenment... his second one, found in our passage today, is for Spiritual Power. Two prayers asking for God to allow us to know Him more and give us the power to apply that knowledge to our daily lives. "We must have God's power to do God's will."

  • The ministry of the Mystery

    14/05/2023

Happy Mother's Day! With Paul revealing the mystery of the Gospel, the natural question for us is "what do we do with it?" As followers of Christ, we are called to the ministry of the mystery - preach the mystery - make Christ and the "multi-faceted" wisdom of God known everywhere by everyone and everything... because we have been given the privilege by Christ, in Christ.

  • The Revelation of the Mystery

    07/05/2023

The mystery of the Gospel is not a puzzle that can be solved by human deduction or reason but a amazing gift that can only be known by the life-giving work of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:1-6

  • No longer strangers

    30/04/2023

Ephesians 2:19-22 - No longer strangers - what does it mean to be the People of God? When we begin to grasp what God says about the Church, then we will also recognize and appreciate the fact we are "no longer strangers"

  • Reconciled by Christ

    23/04/2023

Through the cross, Christ reconciled us to God and to each other. Ephesians 2:11-18 (there are a few sound issues for the first couple of minutes (out of balance stereo and then the volume quiets down - It is fixed by minute eight)

  • Created for good works

    16/04/2023

Last week we looked how we are SAVED BY GRACE... but for what purpose? Ephesians 2:10 tells us "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do." We are created by God, for God, and in God and we are created for the purpose of GOOD WORKS - (by the way... good works do not result IN SALVATION... good works are a result OF SALVATION)

  • By Grace (Easter 2023)

    09/04/2023

We are saved BY GRACE through faith in the resurrected Jesus! Happy Easter! Ephesians 2:8-9

  • BUT GOD

    02/04/2023

Ephesians 2:1 - You were dead. VS 4 - BUT GOD.... two of the greatest words in the Bible. Looking at Ephesians 2:1-7. With every "BUT GOD" in the Bible... there is a problem, a solution, and an outcome.

  • A Prayer for Spiritual Understanding

In Ephesians 1:15-23 we find Paul's first pray for the church at Ephesus... a prayer for spiritual understanding (open the eyes of our hearts Lord).

  • Why Revival?

    19/02/2023

What is TRUE Revival and why do we pray for it? How does it start? Let's look at the life of Jonah and see the steps... because TRUE REVIVAL starts with me.

  • Why Pray?

    12/02/2023

Have you ever asked any these questions? WHY PRAY if God already knows what is going to happen? WHY PRAY if God already knows what we are going to say? What if the purpose of prayer was less about knowing answers and more about knowing God? The truth is, we better understand WHY WE PRAY when we better understand what prayer is (and what it is NOT) and why it is an important part of a believer's life... Prayer is how we communicate with God and align our heart with His. Author Warren Wiersbe sums up the purpose of prayer well: The immediate purpose of prayer is the accomplishing of Gods will on earth; the ultimate purpose of prayer is the eternal glory of God (Sounds similar to everything else we do)

  • Why Baptism?

    05/02/2023

Why do followers of Christ get baptized? The New Testament highlights the importance of baptism for the individual believer and the church. The early Christians practiced baptism as it had been ordained by Christ, it marked the personal identification with Christ, it marked the entrance into the Christian family, and it provided an opportunity for a public confession of faith. But what about us... why do we do it?
