For All You Kids Out There

In this year's For All You Kids Out There holiday spectacular, we invite some of our favorite guests on to talk about some of their favorite things. Trust me, we can't possibly list them all here and most of the episode is a blur, but if you like Atlantic League stats, there is definitely those.

In Episode 85 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett try to break up the monotony of the Winter Meetings with a day-by-day breakdown of what's going on. Unfortunately, not much is going on for the Mets, so instead we end up talking about The Crown, Brock Lesnar's acting career, and the Marcell Ozuna trade. But don't you worry, we do find time to breakdown the Rule 5 draft with our man on the ground in Orlando, Skyler Kanfer.

In Episode 84 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett move up their usual recording time because...things...have been happening. But first, we spend an hour going maybe too in depth on the Mets Prospect list. Then in the second half of the show we are joined by Nick Stellini, who embarrasses himself in a BP Annual Drinking Game preview, to talk about Giancarlo Stanton and Shohei Ohtani. Shocking, we know. In the third half of the show we answer your correspondence, Jeffrey gets punchy, and Jarrett considers upcoming indy wrestling cards.

In Episode 83 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett are well rested from an afternoon of drinking (and in Jeffrey's case, also morning jagerbombs) at our podcast meet up this past weekend. So we can focus on the Mets professed lack of need for starting pitching, the Athletics and Astros prospect lists (which are marginally more interesting than last week's teams), and Josh Satin and David Wright's night on the town. In the second half of the show, we are joined by Jon Bernhardt of FanRag Sports to discuss Giancarlo Stanton and Shohei Ohtani again. And then in the third half of the show we answer your e-mails, before closing the episode by literally just listing off Winter League rosters and UFC division rankings.

In Episode 82 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett have time to fill and no hot stove action to speak of, but time we can fill. Oh yes we can. It's round two of Giancarlo Stanton trade rumors, a first pass at the Shohei Ohtani questionnaire, and wait, we actually predicted the Rule 5 adds correctly? In the second half of the show we discuss the kinda uninteresting Rockies and Pirates prospect lists, and in the third half of the show there is a very long pro wrestling segment with our good friend, Brady.

In Episode 81 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey wants to do a general overview of the Mets offseason plans, but Jarrett immediately sidedrains the conversation into Giancarlo Stanton and surplus value. We are back on the same page for the Mets Rule 5 draft protections, natch, and a discussion of pitcher injury prevention. In the second half of the show, we welcome back Craig Goldstein to discuss the Dodgers prospect list and the 20-80 scale, and in the third half of the show we answer your correspondence and Jeffrey has found his pro wrestling match of the year,

In Episode 80 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett do a live #gchatwithCraig before considering the Mets attempts at #bullpenning, grouse about feeble entreaties to Shohei Otani and Giancarlo Stanton, and get cautiously optimistic about Carlos Santana and Lorenzo Cain. We also chat about Carlos Beltran's retirement before discussing the Phillies, Brewers, and Padres prospect lists in the second half of the show with BP prospect team member Greg Goldstein. Yes, GREG Goldstein. Not Graig Goldstein, Greg Goldstein. Finally in the third half of the show, we answer your correspondence, delve into the history of PRIDE Fighting Championships, update you on important Swedish soccer news, and amazingly there is yet another WWE pay-per-view to discuss.

It feels like we are doing these kind of episodes too often. In Episode 79 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett are joined by Meg to reflect on the death of Roy Halladay. We also chat about the Yankees and Braves prospect lists, the Mets new field staff, and a very busy week in the King of Sports.

We don't let lack of Mets news stop us on For All You Kids Out There, so in Episode 78 we dive right into more thoughts on the Mickey Callaway hire, some minor confusion over the 40-man outrights, and comp[lete puzzlement over the ongoing manger carousel. In the second half of the show we are joinged by Kate Morrison of Baseball Prospectus and FanRag to discuss the World Series so far...and...hockey apparently. In the third half of the show we have no correspondence this week, but somehow fill almost an hour with Arizona Fall League stats and Jarrett's Wrestlemania itinerary.

In Episode 77 of For All You Kids Out There, our agenda gets thrown out ten minutes before we start recording because the Mets have a new manager and it's...Mickey Callaway? Like we said, that was not on the agenda. We have some preliminary thoughts on that and a review of the ALCS in the first half of the show. In the second half of the show we talk to Craig Goldstein about his second-favorite team (despite his protestations). And in the third half of the show we answer your correspondence and talk about the mumps.

The embargo on news during the playoffs mean it is some idle speculation and lots of wrestling talk during Episode 76 of For All You Kids Out There. In the first half of the show we fish around for some spare scraps of info around the Mets managerial search before begrudgingly (and briefly) discussing the Mets Arizona Fall League rosters. Then in the second half of the show we chat about the NLCS and Joe Maddon's fashion choices with our good friend Zack Moser from BP Wrigleyville. Finally in the third half of the show we answer your queries, talk King of Sport, and debate how mad online the WWE is about the Young Bucks.  

We've been doing this for a while, both on this podcast and on others. We've had all kinds of technical issues over the years, but this is probably the first time we've ever failed to actually save a recorded segment after completion. So Episode 75 of For All You Kids Out There is only two halves, which makes more mathematical sense we guess. There's some outdated playoff thoughts, some outdated USMNT discussion, early thoughts on the Mets managerial search, road trips plans to Syracuse and then we chat with Erik Malinowski about the Golden State Warriors and baseball murder mysteries.

In Episode 74 of For All You Kids Out There we put our second season of Mets podcasting in the books, and this one was...not as fun. Both on-field, which we cover by going over all 52 players on the 2017 Mets, but also off-field as you may now be aware if you have been even vaguely paying attention. So we talk about the end of the Terry Collins era, future Mets managerial candidates, and the schism between ownership, front office, and the field staff. The Mets didn't have the worst week in the NL East though, and we also discuss the Atlanta front office scandal that unfolded in large part while we were actually recording.In the second half of the show we are joined by David Roth of Deadspin to discuss Jonathan Franzen novels (sort of), Todd Frazier local car dealership ads (obviously), and the Im/Ex Bank (yes, really).In the third half of ths show we answer your correspondence as briefly as possible, but not as briefly as Jarrett hoped.

In Episode 73 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey displays the bare minimum of fiduciary responsibility, Jarrett swoons over J.D. Martinez, neither of us sticks to sports, and Craig talks about his two favorite teams. There's also a long wrestling segment, but not as long as last week.

In Episode 72 of For All You Kids Out There, like the Mets we are playing out the string. Also like the Mets is takes us three hours to finish the job. In the first half of the show, Jeffrey and Jarrett chat about a Thor sequel we aren't really looking forward to, make some offseason plans, and discuss the latest revered Met feuding with the team. In the second half of the show we are joined by Meg Rowley to talk about fandom, "our guys," and how this all changes in your thirties. Then in the third half of the show we answer your e-mails, riff for a while on Shohei Otani, and indulge in a very long pro wrestling segment.

In Episode 71, Jeffrey and Jarrett have an easy, laidback show: Under two hours with no guests, a lot of reliever prospects, and way too much talking about the Survivor Series main event. How many more weeks of Mets baseball are there? Well, we will be here for all of them I guess. 

In Episode 70 of For All You Kids Out There, the Mets season is limping to the finish, but the podcast soldiers on. Not before spending the first 15 minutes debating where Luis Guillorme will land on the 2018 Mets Top Ten Prospects list though. There is still plenty of time for This Week in Matt Harvey, 40-man call-ups, Jeffrey's baseball playing hipster twin, and Tim Tebow. In the second half of the show we talk about the AL Wild Card race with Mariners fan and Our Good Friend Meg Rowley, who is much less excited about Gabriel Ynoa's call-up than Jeffrey is. Then in the third half of the show we answer your e-mails and somehow discuss Dom Smith again, two weeks after Jeffrey said there wasn't a real need to check back in on him for a bit.

In Episode 69 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett try to have a nice show, but it's been a not nice week of Mets news. We chat about more injuries and This Week in Matt Harvey before bringing on a very special guest to properly celebrate the occasion. Then we answer your correspondence, briefly become a Phillies prospect podcast again, and wrap up with some Mayweather/McGregor chat.

In Episode 68 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey's evening went awry, and the podcast followed soon after. Nevertheless, Jarrett and he discuss more waiver trades, more pitcher injuries, and some scouting philosophies before inviting our good friend Nick Stellini on to ambush him with a BP Annual comment and also chat about the more successful New York team. Then we wrap things up with your correspondence and some Summerslam weekend thoughts.

In Episode 67 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett are back in separate rooms to talk about the Mets August waiver trades and accompanying New York GM pissing contest. Then we chat about the Dom Smith callup and the Yankees Wild Card game strategy for some reason, before wrapping up the first half of the show with the weeks in Amed Rosario and Matt Harvey. Then it is a very long e-mail segment where we get sidtracked even worse and a very long wrestling segment. Normal service has resumed. Even down to the dodgy technical issues.
