For All You Kids Out There

In Episode 46 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett don't have much to talk about. Jeffrey even says as much a minute into the show. Three hours later, it's actually over. Over the Andrei Rubalev running time, we talk about Yoenis Cespedes's first column, recap another week in Matt Harvey, discuss the WBC forever again, preview the 2017 Mets bullpen with old friend Chris McShane, answer your emails on Tim Tebow, end up on the Yankees Roster Resource page for some reason, and preview Wrestlemania 33 with another old friend, Tom Holzerman. 

In Episode 45 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett go in with no agenda and already running behind schedule because the angry Oriole bird threw up the Gabby Ynoa twitter bat signal right before we started. So we discuss Ynoa's outing, Keith Hernandez's eating habits, Spring Training cuts, and the first few WBC games. In the second half of the show, we are joined by Tim Finnegan of Baseball Prospectus to preview the 2017 Mets starting pitching. So it's time for another round of This Week in Matt Harvey, Tim offers some thoughts on seeing Zack Wheeler's Spring debut live, we debate de Grom versus Syndergaard, and of course Robert Gsellman comes up.In the third half of the show we have no correspondence, so you instead have to suffer through our submission for Tom Holzerman's Wrestling Blog 100. In Episode 44 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett achieve peak #brand. Luis Guillorme had a heckuva week, There is more Jay Bruce talk. Jarrett spends twenty minutes talking about the WBC. This week in Matt Harvey is back! Most of the 2017 Mets infield preview with our EIC Bryan Grosnick is spent talking about the Padres Roster Resource page. There is also obscure Mets minor leaguer talk, and Jeffrey drinks too much sake and reads out his grocery store receipt and yells about the Dragon Gate dudes on (or off) this year's WON Awards results. Like we said, the #brand is strong, you guys.

In Episode 43 of For All You Kids Out There, we have some Spring Training news to round up, so round it up we shall. Amed Rosario is getting some early positive buzz, as is Marcos Molina. Michael Conforto sure looks healthy, which means he is probably good again. Jay Bruce is playing first base. It's real, not just Terry in March (although it is technically still Feburary). Also Lucas Duda might be toast. In Episode 42 of For All You Kids Out There you will not find the meaning of existence, unless it is to listen to a podcast that is an hour too long and too much about pro wrestling. We start off with actual Mets news, of which there is some. In between rounds of pitcher fielding practice, Zack Wheeler threw off a mound, David Wright played catch, the Mets may or may not have discusses a Neil Walker extension, and may or may not have told Jay Bruce he's playing first base. We also spare a few minutes for Dellin (nee Dylan) Betances' testy arbitration hearing.In the second half of the show, Craig Goldstein is here to discuss the BP 101, including you know who and also you know who. There's also some breaking Jon Niese news and Jeffrey learns about the Yankees projected 2017 rotation and oh boy it is not good you guys.In the third half of the show we answer your e-mails and Facebook queries and spend too much time contemplating the recent New Japan shows and the future of the WWE. 

There is Mets news this week, and Jeffrey doesn't want to downplay it of course, but there will be time for that later. The important thing is the Baseball Prospectus 2017 Annual is out, and thus, a drinking game must occur. So we are joined by Craig Goldstein, Meg Rowley, Kate Morrison, defending champ Nick Stellini, to try and identify rando middle relievers with all identifying information removed. Many drinks are consumed. We also answer your emails, and Jeffrey is slightly more sober than he was this time last year. Sober enough to roast some fennel while writing this blurb at least. We cannot and will not speak for the others. 

In Episode 40 of For All You Kids Out There, there are actual Mets signings to discuss. Of course it's players from the 2016 Mets, because apparently if they introduce a new player to the locker room it's like one of those elementary school volcanoes you had to make. We discuss who the 40-man casualties might be, lament poor Rafael Montero again, and talk about Andrew McCutchen for some reason.In the second half of the show we are joined by Tim Finnegan of Baseball Prospectus to see what the supercomputers are spitting out on the 2017 Mets.And in the third half of the show we answer your e-mails, including our allotted one annual fantasy-baseball-related question.

Episode 39 of For All You Kids Out There got pushed back to prospect lists, TV appearances, and the pro wrestling, but don't worry it isn't like the Mets do anything anymore. So instead we talk Jay Bruce (again), Jerry Blevins (again), and Noah Syndergaard's tweets.In the second half of the show, because we pushed this week's episode back we have four prospect lists to cover, and they are not great, Bob. In the third half of the show, well, we are basically a pro wrestling podcast with some baseball content now.

Jeffrey and Jarrett talk about another tragedy in the Dominican Republic, 2016 Mets free agents on the move elsewhere, Luis Castillo on the move again, and a new class of Hall of Famers.In the second half of the show we are joined by Craig Goldstein to discuss the Cubs, Dodgers, and Rockies prospect lists.In the third half of the show we answer your correspondence and talk about the Royal Rumble, natch. 

In Episode 37 of For All You Kids Out There, we have actual Mets news to discuss, dodgy rural internet connections be damned. There's Arbitration Avenue Audio...wait, wrong show. Uh, For All You...Arbiters Out There...yeah, we'll go with that. The Mets aren't making Friends with Wilmer Flores. Sorry, sorry, I am trying to delete it. Next we talk Spring Training invites and muse on if David Roseboom could make the team as a second lefty, and how agog people will be watching Luis Guillorme nee Luis Guillermo in infield drills.In the second half of the show, it's our most esoteric David Roth segment yet. If that doesn't entice you, you probably stopped listening to us months ago.In the third half of the show we discuss the Pirates and Cardinals prospect lists and then answer your e-mails with only a bare minimum of pro wrestling content.

We here at For All You Kids recognize that this is nominally a Mets podcast, so we should try and find as much Mets content as possible to fill your headphones, even in the rather fallow Winter news period. In the first half of the show we talk about all the relievers the Mets aren't signing and when they might actually get some of that vaunted payroll flexibility back. It might involve trading Jay Bruce which we also discuss for what seems like the tenth straight week. There's also Hall of Fame and prospect list chat.In the second half of the show we are joined by Baseball Prospectus writer Meg Rowley who makes an impassioned play for a second season of Pitch and a Hall of Fame plaque for Edgar Martinez.In the third half of the show we answer your correspondence and try to figure out what is the plan for Wrestlemania.

The Rule 5 adds quickly get sidedrained into a consideration of whether Phil Evans would make the Marlins Top Ten.
