Shelby Houlihan Shelby grew up in Sioux City, Iowa and went to Arizona State University where she was a national champion in the 1500m and a 12-time All-American. After graduation, she began running for Nike and the Bowerman Track Club in 2015. She was a 2016 Olympian in the 5000m, finishing 11th in the final and claiming the title of first American. Shelby is a 5-time National Champion and was part of the 2017 World Championship team and the 2018 indoor team.

Show notes for this episode can be found at ctollerun.com. Ryan Hall Ryan holds the U.S. record for the fastest half marathon, earning the honor as the first American to break the one-hour mark. He won the 2008 United States Olympic Trials for the marathon and went on to place tenth in Beijing, then again represented the U.S. at the 2012 Olympics. At the 2011 Boston Marathon, Ryan became the only American to run a sub-2:05 marathon. He announced is retirement from professional running in 2016. Ryan and his wife Sara have four daughters: Hana, Mia, Jasmine and Lily.

She ended her collegiate career early due to a navicular stress fracture. Sarah lives and trains in Tucson, Arizona with her husband, Blake, and border collies, Indy and Basin. While a Kenyan, he won the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympics and the silver medal at the 2004 Olympics at 1500 meters. His 1500-meter personal best of 3:26.34 is the Kenyan record. He became a US citizen and represented the US at the Olympic Games in 2008, 2012 and 2016. Bernard is an 11-time world championship medalist and holds numerous American records and World masters records. He is married to Gladys Tom and they have two kids.

Andrew talks about his decision to retire from professional running, his family, favorite memories from the Olympics, and his future plans. Andrew Wheating Andrew Wheating is from Norwich, Vermont. He ran for the University of Oregon Ducks from 2006-2010 where he won 3 individual NCAA championships (2x800, 1500) as well as 2 relay team NCAA championships (Indoor DMR). In 2008, at the age of 20, he qualified for the Beijing Olympic Games. He signed a professional contract with Nike where he went on to compete in the 2012 London Olympic Games (1500m). After running professionally for 7 years he opted for retirement in January of 2018. A lesser known achievement is that he has eaten 24 Reese's Cups in one sitting, some say he didn't have the stomach for twenty-five.
