  • Quick Tip 001: How To Sound Great On The Microphone

    Most of the time a simple microphone technique can fix all of your podcast sound problems. It might be the difference from sounding cheap and amateur to a professional sound. The microphones that I recommend for ALL budgets. Blue Yeti --- This is a podcasting microphone LEGEND if you have right at $74-$100 to spend on a microphone this is the one. Heil PR40 --- This is my current microphone and if your budget is a little more this is the go to podcasting mics for TONS of creators out there. 1.) Microphone Placement This one is tough to explain in that you need to get close to the microphone BUT not so close to where you are touching it. I like to always say pinkie to thumb. Measure the distance from the microphone from your pinky to your thumb. This is a great rule of thumb. 2.) DONT Talk Directly Towards The Mic If you have the mic pointed directly at your face it will cause really bad plosives as the blasts of air of some letters make go straight from your mouth.
