When people push away from the faith they have been taught, they will end up destroying their faith. Hymenaeus and Alexander did that. Paul turned them over to Satan so they would learn.

The Law is not for a righteous man but for the sinner and unbeliever. It shows them their need for Jesus.

In Ephesus there were men who wanted to teach the Law, but they did not understand and were strongly asserting it. The Law is good if it is used right.

Paul warns Timothy and us that men have strayed from love with a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith. They are teaching empty words.

Teaching should produce a love form a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith that does not question God.

We should not take hold of or believe myths and gem=geneologies. These things which included false teaching will cause us to question our faith.

The reason that Paul sent Timothy to Ephesus was to tell people not to teach strange doctrine. We need those kind of men in our churches today.

Paul was Timothy's father in faith. Paul had taught Timothy all that he needed to know to be the man that Timothy was. Are you a father in faith to someone?

Paul knew who he was. It is important that we know who we are and what God has commanded us to do with our lives.
