22/10/2015 Duração: 59minA few months ago I received an email from Ramit Sethi with the subject line: "20x your potential: Hell Week (with a retired Navy SEAL)" - It got my attention! The email was for a free 5-day intense training program, designed specifically to push the limits of your mind and body. HOP #14: How saying "Yes" led to a paid year off and an epic family roadtrip
28/09/2015 Duração: 22minIn episode #14 of The Happiness of Pursuit Podcast, I interview someone who has known me my entire life (she was actually at my baby shower before I was born). We reconnected when my wife went to work with her as a professor. What blows me away about Heidi is her attitude to always say "yes." This outlook led her, and her family, to take advantage of an incredible opportunity at her work that enabled her to take a year off with pay. During this time, they embarked on a roadtrip across Canada, up through Alaska, down to Florida with plans to head back to British Columbia and ending in South America. If you're wondering how Heidi was able to take a year off with Pay, and what life was like on the road then you will love this episode. 07/09/2015 Duração: 33minWhen you think of etiquette, you probably think about manors, eating with your back straight and not slurping your soup - well at least I did until I had the opportunity to interview Maggie Oldham, who is a modern etiquette coach and has started an incredible blog and coaching business to teach what most people miss about proper etiquette - from Pool Parties to Texting , Night Clubs and Film Festivals and my personal favorite, "How to give a great toast." HOP #10: How Jason Shurgot quit his job and sold his house to travel the world
31/08/2015 Duração: 34minAfter looking back at a journal post from when Jason was 23, he saw that he had ambitions to travel. It was something he had looked at a few times and at the age of 32, he had had enough. He knew that the longer he waited, the less likely he would be to follow through on his dreams. Jason sold quit his job, sold his house, purchased a one-way ticket and headed off on a life-changing adventure. We connected on Instagram when I asked about how he had such explosive growth and my timing was perfect. He was just about to release a book he wrote while traveling the world called; “Instagram Marketing Guide for Transforming Followers into Dollars.” His book debuted this past week at #1 in "Amazon hot new releases," #6 on "Amazon Top Sellers in Small Business Advertising," and #4 on "Instagram Marketing." HOP #9: Kelly McDonnell-Arnold's journey to becoming a Sexologist
24/08/2015 Duração: 30minIt was so fun chatting with Kelly about her journey to become a "Certified Sexologist," something I didn't even know was possible - and ironically neither did Kelly! She found out that there was a degree being offered in Australia for "sexology," which led to one of the most awkward first day at school stories I have ever heard. Kelly's journey came from a burning desire to understand why it was so taboo to ask and talk about sex. She took that passion and created one of the most unique stories I have heard, about such a life-changing subject. In this episode, we talk about how Kelly turned unanswered questions about sex into a career and growing business. She shares one of the best first day of class stories I have ever heard. She gives some incredible advice about following your passion and never stop learning. There were some minor audio issues. If you want to skip them, move ahead to 7:00 minutes (that's also right when the story get's great!). To connect with Kelly and check out the show notes go to www.

HOP #8: How Julien Bahain rowed across the ocean on the road to the podium
17/08/2015 Duração: 32minIn February of this year, this PanAm Gold medalist was in a wheelchair. Nearly paralyzed, he grinded his way back to the podium in 4 short months! Shockingly, this is not the only life-transforming story he tells in this episode. Julien Bahain is an Olympic rower, who is ironically scared of the water! Despite this fear, he decided to make an attempt at the world record for rowing across the ocean. Part way through the journey he and his crewmate hit a terrible story - what happened next, and how this near death experience changed him is something you would find in a Hollywood script!
