Everyone has an opinion and the way that they think is the "right" way to go about the path, but ultimately it is up to you and what fits with your lifestyle at the moment. Your family and your personal well being and your finances should be number one.

#292 "any particular helicopter that’s in a higher demand for pilots?"Welcome to day 292 Coffee with Kenny! Today I have a great question! From a member currently training in an R-22 and asks if I knew of any particular helicopter that is in demand more than another. First off, Robinson Helicopters are the most popular helicopters in demand, weather you love them or hate them. You do need to research this a little bit, because there are good reasons to get flight time in different aircraft! It will help make you more marketable when the time comes!

This might be the fastest Coffee with Kenny yet, but today I will be answering a question from a ground school member Logan, he is going to a Part 141 flight school funded by the GI bill. He asks, when companies are hiring, will they except fixed wing hours as well as rotor hours? I say absolutely Logan, it is all good and if you are wanting to do it, and you can afford it, go for it, it may very well help in the career that you are going for!

#288 The Path to Professional Helicopter Pilot!Welcome to day 288 Coffee with Kenny! We have an awesome question today from a young lady in high school. She lives in Ohio and still goes to school, but wants to know what steps she needs to take in order to get her career going, and what if any college she needs. So to start answering, I will state that a lot of jobs in the helicopter field do not require any degree, however, I would say some kind of aviation degree or specific degree depending on what kind of pilot that you want to be.

#286 Learning To Hover - can be Scary Stuff!Day 286 Coffee with Kenny! Today we are going to take a look at the new studio that we turned around for our Halloween sale! Then we will take a look at scary helicopter hovers! When you first start out, this is normal and you are going to over control and that is just natural starting out. So you are going to be all over the place! Don't get scared and don't stress over it, it just takes time and looks really bad, but it is how you learn, stick with it, and pretty soon, you will get there!

#285 Helicopter Aerobatics, unless specifically trained, DON'T!Welcome to day 285 Coffee with Kenny! Today I wanted to talk about the fact that most Helicopter Aerobatics being done is illegal and not done by trained pilots in approved aircraft. So don't be fooled by the YouTube videos you see, it is not what we are trained to do. If you are trained for this, and fly an approved aircraft, great, good for you, aerobatics are cool! But not if you're doing it to show off and are not trained. Stay safe everyone! Slow, Smooth, Methodical movements!

#284 AUTOROTATION: Throttle Chop or Smooth Roll Off?Welcome to day 284 Coffee with Kenny! Today is a quick one on this Saturday! Answering a question from a member asking about surprise throttle chops and asks about autorotations and auto power on/power off. Of course, first I will say, it depends on the aircraft you are flying and the procedures in the POH. With that being said, there may be times where you need to veer from what the manufacturer says. I'll explain in the following video.

#283 From The Examiner: Applicants Confused On Tail Rotor Failure/Malfunction..From the examiner..he asked me to make a video on the confusion of tail rotor failure and malfunction. This is what he is seeing students struggle with. They are getting confused between these topics. So, let's go over these slow and simple today. Always refer to your manufacturers POH of course, those procedures should always be followed.

This is a general safe rule and for those that want to stay conservative and stay safe and keep out of dangerous situations.
