Knowing what vendors your BAs may use to provide services to your organization is crucial. Those downstream vendors could be the cause of a breach of your data. OCR’s right of access initiative keeps on churning with three more cases, making a total of 41 violations of patient right of access so far. Dentists are a known problem when it comes to doing anything for HIPAA privacy and security, including right of access requirements.
