This week Jean-Luc is off to the Enterprise to visit some family because his name is Jean-Luc and this is an original joke. In his absense, Chad, Emily and Alex bring out their swingingest, jazziest conversations as they plan a trip to the midwest full of camping and gas stations. There's talk of Gravity Falls, Enola Holmes, Blazing Saddles, Catboys and more! They also talk about some comics including Sonic the Hedgehog, Gideon Falls, The Goddamned Virgin Brides, Bliss, and end off with some spirited discussions about Sonic's feet.

On this week's episode of stupid comics, we talk about Harley Quinn, how Chad would run DC, some movie Alex saw, preparing for hurricans, catboys, and that's about it. Like no comics came out this week at all, so it was all bookclub with the Amory Wars by Coheed and Cambria. Oh boy... Oh. So yeah this week we decided to move our discussion of Prez up a little bit because we looked at the list of comics coming out and said "fuck all that shit, let's read something good instead!" So we did, and we talk about it. But before that, Emily does her best to get cancelled by defending "Cuties" which sounds like a totally fine coming of age movie. Jean-Luc has been watching The Boys. That's comic related, but the comic sucks. Show's good. And of course, it wouldn't be an episode of The Comics Podcast if we didn't take an opportunity to dunk on Tom King and heap praise onto Snotgirl, even when a new issue hasn't come out in six months.

This weeks episode is late but it's also full of fun topics like volcel vampires, Roller Coasters, musical colaborations, pregnancy. There's also a lot of comics, including Ascender, Lost Soldiers, Batman: Three Jackoffs, and our spotlight comic, Cruel Summer!

On this shocking episode of a thing, Chad and Emily talk about how freaking amazing the Harley Quinn cartoon is. Like holy crap is it good! Whoda thought? After that, we talk other cartoons like Owl House and Utena. Jean-luc is there too. Alex is not. Conversation moves onto Scott Pilgrim again, then comic books with Three Jokers, Mercy, Bliss, Bomb Queen, and That Texas Blood.

Oh wait we talked about Scott Pilgrim! I'm still rereading it but Emily just blew through the whole thing in like three days. Damn.

This week Jean-Luc is working like an adult so it's up to Emily, Chad and Alex to pick up the slack. Emily finally saw Speed Racer for the first time and has some very divisive thoughts. Chad read some comics this week but would rather talk about Speed Racer and Alex is very int-speed racer is. speed racer is. speed racer is. speed racer is. Also they talk about Princess Jellyfish which is about a bunch of nerds.

This week, Emily is away, so Alex, Chad, and Jean-luc talk about cursed things! Like casette players, the Jonas Brothers, hurting your balls while biking, Warhammer, and Anaal Nathrakh. Try pronouncing that last one six times fast! Oh and power metal. And Taylor Swift. And comics! It's a small week with Batman, The Goddamned Virgin Brides, Coffinbound, and My Little Pony x Transformers. Fun stuff.

Would you stick your dick in a beehive for a salary of $250,000/year? We all would, and we would do it while talking about comic books. Of which there were many this week, so it's an extra long episode for you to enjoy! Hello I'm so sorry this is late it was a really busy week(end) so I forgot to upload the episode! - Jean-Luc Anyway the episode was worth the wait, because it's chock full of bullshit. As the title implies we talk about cartoons like Clone High, the Starship Troopers cartoon, Clone Wars (can I get a hell yeah!) and Riverdale which isn't a cartoon but it sometimes feels like one. Then we talk about comics, including a long convo about the first volume of Killadelphia. Then it's on to things like Excellence #8, Adventure Man #2 Batman and I think that's it. Come back next week when we'll talk about the fun news that Tom King is writing a Rorschach comic. God I fucking hate it here (here being the comics industry not this podcast I love the podcast a lot)

Hard to avoid that.

Hello I'm sorry about the delay I broke my promise to the other hosts - Jean-Luc Anyway welcome to another jam-packe episode of The Comics Podcast! As usual we cover a lot of ground in just over an hour. The bulk of the time this week IS spent talking about *c o m i c s*. Amazing, right? First you know we gotta do it to 'em and shit on Dark Knights Death Metal, then gotta hit up our boy Jeff Lemire for some Family Tree and Gideon Falls action. We also talked about A Man Among Ye from Top Cow, but most of the comics talk is dedicated to Emily's pick for this week: Dorohedoro. Chad also talks about how women throw themselves upon him and he would rather watch anime. what the fuck. Ok cool love y'all see you next week when someone more competent edits the show :)

This week the Comics Podcast Crew takes a trip back to a simpler time when America was good and just. Just kidding, but they do sit down and discuss the late Darwyn Cooke's seminal work, Justice League: The New Frontier. There's also new comics out including The Kill Lock #5 and Adventureman #1, and they're both pretty good to boot. All that plus some infuriating talk about scooters and the art of aquiring them. Kackaw!

This week Chad goes to Menards for more old people fun, Riverdale gets arrested for protesting, Emily loses a lawnmower, Jean-luc buys Lego, and Alex makes us read Y the Last Man. Also we actually talk about DC comics for awhile, which is strange but 2020 is strange times. What are you gonna do? Kick back, laugh, and oh also, Coheed and Cambria. Hey hi hello, it's another episode of the internet's one and only podcast about comics. This week, Chad made us all do the thing we said we would do like two months ago and read the second volume of Monstress and talk about it on a podcast. So we did that!!! But not without the typical shenanigans, like talking about The Cops (they're bad), weird nightmares, and our experience with the movie Planes. Mostly one person's experience with the movie Planes. This week the comics podcast is overtaken by the exploits of one Scoobert-Doo. Is Scoob! an Oscar frontrunner? Or further still, who cares about what someone named Oscar thinks? I'm not sure but one thing that I am sure about is that comics are back this week and none of them are good. Thankfully this week's book club book is, The Promised Neverland which is quite good. All that plus Chad saying words!

This week Chad's drunk, Emily tells him to F off, Jean-luc wants doritos, and Alex encourages Jean-luc's want of doritos. It's a strange episode. After about a half hour of dumb stuff, we talk about Daytripper by Fabio Moon and Gabriel Bá. I think it's a good conversation.
