The OSR community has seen more than a fair share of problems in the last few years. Hiring someone can backfire if you don’t ensure that person is the professional you need them to be. It is a task not to be taken lightly and there are some things you need to watch out for both in yourself and the person you want working on your project.

It is very hard to be able to do everything well and at some point you are going to need to hire someone to do some work for you.

Choosing art for your #RPG is a more important task that you might think and one that requires with certain skill no one teaches you about. This is one to watch out for!

Designing a game comes with plenty of perils, one of them is to get so close to the rules that we don’t realise if they truly work or not. Or not making sure the game is as flexible as it can and should be.

We are moved by hype nowadays. If one can create enough hype about a game, that game is going to do very, very well indeed.
