This is one of my favorites! The Sonics guy joins me in studio as we interview and unpack Dennis Flannigan's story; a white Civil Rights worker that decided to go into Mississippi in 1964 (Freedom Summer) and do what he felt in his heart was the right thing to do. Please give this a listen and be inspired to continue this fight!

This is an important one, and a passionate one. We talk about MLK's, "I Have a Dream" speech from both a standpoint of the words he says, but also from the organization that took place. The speech is in my opinion the best speech ever made in American history, but the fact that in 1963 they were able to get 250,000 to see it live was absolutely incredible. It speaks to not only the tireless work of civil rights organizers, but also to the urgency of the movement itself, that this was important and needed to be dealt with, and that when you left the event you were going to be active in your community in making things better. This week we talk about yet ANOTHER Kenan and Kel episode, this one called Futurama! Kenan and Kel decide they need to do an episode about the year 3000 so their show doesn't seem out of date to people in the future. Not surprisingly, it seems very out of date but is wonderfully amusing about what it gets wrong. This was a fun one to do!!!! I critique the game Oregon Trail 3 which I just got to play for the first time in 10 years thanks to the help of one of my listeners Amy (SummerB) If you haven't played Oregon Trail before, or it has been a while I highly reccomend it!
