We looked at liklihood of getting paid,, rating firms, default rates over time, i-rate spreads, LTCM, and a few other things. A good class, but I wish I had had better examples.

17/09/2015 Duração: 34minA look at Market Efficiency. From Weak form, to SemiStrong Form, to Strong Form. Conclusion? Markets are tough to beat, but not perfectly efficient. That said, to average investor, they are very tough to beat and passive investing (or largely passive) likely works best.

Then it gets into standard deviations, risk premiums, excess returns, and Sharpe Ratios. It also deals with VaR, higher moments of distributions and more. Welcome to Investments (MBA 626)

It is a new prep for me (Fall of 2015) and I really am looking forward to the hybrid format with some in-person meetings, some online videos, some traditional textbook (Bodie, Kane, and Marcus), and some online notes. The final will be in-person however.We will also have weekly office hours via video conference to which you can submit questions in advance, or live.
