In this first Sunday of 2012 we join together in “taking a knee” in order to Entrust our year to God in prayer.

Jesus our…Prince of Peace: So if Jesus came as the Prince of Peace…then why is there still so much conflict in our world? In this prophecy taken from Isaiah 9 we learn that the kind of peace that Jesus speaks of primarily is peace with God…and that the road to peace with God is paved through surrender.

Jesus our…Everlasting Father: So when you here the word “Father” what is your initial reaction? Some of us have great dads, some not so great. Regardless…Jesus sets the bar for fatherhood incredibly high in living up to this expectation set for him as our “Everlasting Father” in Isaiah 9:6.

Jesus our…Mighty God: So how do you envision Jesus of Nazareth…meek and mild with long flowing hair and blue robe? Think again. In this prophecy from Isaiah 9:6 we are given an altogether different picture of Jesus…as our Mighty God! (Isaiah 9:6)

Jesus our Wonderful Counsellor: 700 years before the birth of Christ…four “Great Expectations” were set for this child who would come to earth born in a manger. In this first of four messages we explore Jesus’ fulfillment of this prophecy to become our “wonderful counsellor.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)
