August Gate Church

In this week's text we see that the foundations for the Christian Church are the foundations of the Christian life.

This week we begin our series in the book of Acts and look at our call to be witnesses to who Jesus is and what He has done.

This week we look at a framework to know, share, and cherish the Gospel. It shows us that the Gospel starts with God, reveals humanity's problem, provides a solution, and saves us to a purpose and a mission.

As we wrap up the book of Nehemiah, we see Nehemiah's response as he returns to Jerusalem and how it should inform our response to living on mission in this world.

God’s people are to celebrate Him with thanksgiving, with pure hearts, and with joy; and that kind of celebration should fuel mission for the Church.

For true, city-wide transformation, God's people needed a revival of personal, family and community faith. For true, city-wide transformation we need individuals to live as disciples, families and individuals to make disciples and the church to be the church.

The Word of God continues to work by showing us the reality of God's faithfulness and our failure in sin, pushing us into God's New Covenant of grace.
