August Gate Church

The church in Thyatira had become loving, faithful, serving, persevering, growing...cowards. And Jesus called them to action.

We are in a war, Jesus is a warrior, and we must choose sides.

An uncompromised grip on the Word of God is a sure path to life and peace.

Though we lose our love, God never loses his.

Loving Jesus is essential to obeying Jesus.

Jesus writes to the church in Smyrna to encourage them in their current and future suffering. This week is an opportunity to evaluate how we're doing at following Jesus through faithfulness in difficulty.

The primary responsibility of the church is to love Jesus.

Jude challenges the church to believe and live the reality that the love of God that unites us is stronger than anything that divides us.

Revelation 1 gives us a clear, accurate picture of Jesus and invites us into for an evaluation of how we're doing in knowing, loving and following Him as disciples.

We must pray for wisdom in faith and without doubt when faced with trials.

We should pray for our God to deliver us from Satan and his schemes.

Joy is a reality in Christ that we are commanded to accept.

Trusting Who we are praying to and Who is in control, we should pray for boldness to do what He’s called us to do.

In light of what God has given us in Christ at Christmas, what does He deserve, what will you give Him?

We must pray and fast for holy ambitions and divine opportunities because they are essential to the mission of God.

God invites us to join Him on mission by praying and going with missionary purpose.

Ask. Seek. Knock. Because God is a better gift giver than we could ever imagine.

To fight the distractions of life, we must have a prayer-fueled pursuit of God.

Through the life of Moses and Jesus, we see and experience the glory of God in the labor of prayer.
