In our study on what it means to begin and grow as disciples of Jesus, we see how Jesus takes on our excuses that keep us from following Him. Our tendency toward weak, conditional discipleship is contrasted with Christ's resiliency to bear the cross in our place.

Continuing in Mark 8, we see that Jesus gives us only two choices when it comes to discipleship and those choices leave us with no excuses.

As we begin our new series on discipleship, we explore what Jesus says it will cost us to follow Him. Mark 8:34 is our key to understanding surrender, self-denial and truly following Jesus.

With a new year in mind, Pastor Noah explains how God gave his people a new year "celebration" that was a constant reminder of their sin and need for the Gospel. Our experience of the grace of Jesus should lead us to make one resolution each year: to grow as disciples of Jesus.

The early church led gospel-centered lives that naturally led to their need to pray Gospel prayers. Their prayers proved their big view of God and small view of obstacles to the gospel. What do our prayers prove?

Part of our new identity in Christ is being His ambassadors to the world. Acts 4:1-22 gives us some practical wisdom about sharing the Gospel and the implications that surround.

Throughout the New Testament it is clear to see that a defining mark of the early church is an attitude of thanks.

At one time we were shut out from God's presence. Because of the blood of Jesus we can approach God boldly with our prayers. The early church understood this. So should we.

The church is a people marked by their communion with God. Though sin has has separated creation from Creator, Jesus' redemptive work on the cross has made a way for His people to enter back into fellowship with Him by His Spirit.

The church is called to be a people marked by fellowship. Though sin has placed its dark shadow on all our relationships, the Gospel shines the light of redemption, bringing healing and restoration.

A Gospel-centered church must anchor itself in scripture and it's teaching. The church in Acts devoted themselves to that and it fueled a Gospel movement.

Before we understand what the Church does we have to understand what the Church is. It is not something we do it is something we are.

The word evangelism brings a mixture of feelings for many people. In this text Noah helps us see the fundamental call of all who love Jesus.
