One of the biggest cons ever perpetrated on people is that Currency is actually Money! It can be when it is backed by a hard asset. Historically that has been Gold and Silver. Well, that is no longer the case and, in fact, it hasn't been the case since 1971 when the U.S Dollar broke its ties to gold.  Since then we have been operating on what is now known as  a Dollar Standard - this is nothing more that fiat currency backed by confidence. What 'Confidence', you might ask? - The confidence that paper money is really worth the number htat is printer on it. One of the things that I've talked about in my book, De-CLASS-ified: The Fall of the Middle Class and Rise of the Internet Entrepreneur, is that in the coming decades, as the economy in the United States worsens, major corporations all over hte country will look for alternative ways to work more 'efficiently'.  Climbing the Corporate Ladder is something that is so engrained in the fabric of hte Middle Class, and it should really come to no surprise. People in the Middle Class are usually very hard-working and are always looking for ways to better themselves. There is no denying it! The Middle Class in America today is on the decline. The once prosperous and wealthy middle class is no more. Today, America's Middle Class has seen a wealth evaporation of nearly 50% since the Great Recession of 2008.
