We see the events of the book The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (written by Robert Louis Stevenson) through the eyes of Mary Riley, who works in the home of Dr Jekyll. A great Halloween book that is fun and easy to get through, just in time for this spooky holiday season!

This story revolves around young Harry Potter, a neglected orphan who lives with his aunt and uncle in England. the bookies podcast is a monthly book club.  wear once a month a group of friends get together to read and review a book.  this month wear talking about Eaters of the dead by Michael Crichton.  a 3.6 on good reads.  Eaters of the dead is based on the historical manuscripts of Ibd Fadlan and his experiences with the men of the north in AD 922.  this book was adapted into a film the 13th warrior.  this work is heavily influenced by Beowulf.  this the first time we have read a Michael Crichton work.  I hope you enjoy Eaters of the Dead   

the Bookies podcast is a monthly book club.  this month we have read Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.  first published in 1990 this book is about an angel Aziraphale and a demon Crowley working together to stop the apocalypse.  this is the second Terry Pratchett novel to be talked about on the Bookies Podcast.  go back to our first episode to hear us talk about the Disk World novel Pyramids. this is the first Neil Gaiman novel we have read on the podcast but most definitely not the last.
