Let's worship together! Our scripture reading comes from Luke 1:39-45. In this passage from Luke, we encounter two of the most important women in the New Testament: Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptizer, and Mary, the mother of Jesus. Far too many of us overlook the importance of women in the story of salvation, but the truth is without women none of it would have happened at all. This sermon will focus on the role women have played in God’s work in history and encourage women (and girls) as they do God’s work today.
