Living wisely

I. Joy is bound to a case of unmistaken identity. II. Joy comes when we choose to focus on others. III. Joy comes when we encourage one another. IV. We encourage others with words of challenge. V. God challenges us to pursue holiness and stay close to Jesus.

This passage records what was to be the defining point in Isaiah's life. Isaiah would never be the same again after this event. 1. A Biblical view of God. 2. An honest look at ourselves. 3. An unreserved availability for service.

Through all of the ups and downs of life, we are to commit our ways to God through prayer.

America has been called one of the greatest nations in the world. Today, Pastor Davis talks about what America must do to remain a great nation in the eyes of man AND more importantly, in the eyes of GOD.

In this section of James we are reminded how deceptive and destructive our passions and ambitions can be. And we are also reminded what the only solution can be.

The Apostle Paul wrote that the world by its wisdom cannot know God. There is a wisdom, however, that is from God. How does God define wisdom?

James is reminding his suffering brothers and sisters in Christ that they should not be surprised at times of testing. Through testing, God can actually make them stronger and better prepared for the spiritual warfare that we all face in life.

The one thing God has promised to build and to bless on the face of the earth is His church. What is the church?

God's wisdom is available to us as we journey through life. Life is full of trials, but God has the resources if we will but trust Him.

We can have the assurance of knowing that we are saved and secure in Christ's loving arms.

This age is marked by uncertainty and war. Some people respond by allowing fear to take over their lives. This passage describes a peace that is possible even now. It is a peace only God can supply.
