The disciples had doubts...we do too. Often, we believe not out of certainty, but out of a desire to believe, and we believe the testimony of those who came before us.

Abiding in Jesus' love, resting in God, we can overcome those things which wear us out, make us anxious and fearful, etc.

The God of the universe humbled himself by becoming human for our sake - not because we are universally significant, but because we are loved by him.

People often choose Darkness over Light out of a desire for power...which can lead to hurtful acts. This desire can be an outgrowth of fear. Choosing weakness over power and darkness can allow us to put faith in God.

Following Jesus requires sacrifice...just like any profession. We need to practice our faith to become disciples of Jesus.

Why was Jesus Transfigured? How does God's command to listen to Jesus affect us today?

If Jesus was sinless, why did he need baptism? Perhaps we needed him to be baptized to be in solidarity with us.

What must we leave behind in order to follow Jesus and to place our trust in him?

By becoming human in Jesus, God was coming to us on our level.
