To fast is to temporarily abstain from some necessity or source of enjoyment in order to pursue spiritual renewal or guidance. Fasting is an assumed practice for believers. Fasting must be focused.

Rest is part of God's design. Rest is an intentional action rather than pointless sloth. Rest is an exercise in trust and renewal.

We often view God as simply a source of stuff. We often find our identity and security in our stuff. Our stuff will leave us empty.

The Risen Savior seeks to restore us to fellowship with God.

There are many who are affected by the Kingdom but are not a part of it. The King has the final saw in who is a citizen in His Kingdom. Because a separation is coming, we must do whatever we can to reach as many people as possible.

The Kingdom of God is worth every sacrifice.

The Kingdom of God starts small, grows high, and goes deep.

The King patiently nurtures His children and patiently deals with His enemies. The patience of the King should energize believers to make the most of the time we have.

The Word of God is the seed of the Kingdom. It must be spread. It must take root. It must be nurtured. When those things happen the Word will bear fruit.

The Kingdom of God is a mystery, and we have been invited to uncover that mystery.

The Christian is never alone because he/she has direct access to God, has the Holy Spirit speaking for them, and has an eternal bond with Jesus Christ.

I belong to the family of God, and I belong to something bigger than myself.

Christians can stay positive and be at peace because the Holy Spirit lives in them and by remembering that their circumstances aren't everything.

Because of Jesus Christ we have been made free from our sin, free to live a new kind of life, and free to please God.

I am optimistic not because of what I feel but because of what God says. I am optimistic because my sin is forgiven and my eternity is secure.

God is our refuge. He invites us to pour out all that we are and have to Him. As you do that, remember God's faithfulness in the past, and entrust your future to Him.

We joyously bring our gifts to God because we love to give. Love gives itself away as perfectly and eternally demonstrated by Jesus in his life and death.

We are called to proclaim Jesus' death until He returns. Are we actually doing that, or have we become more concerned with our own desires and pleasures to see the world around us burning to the ground?

Doubt can nullify your prayer life and draw you away from God. However, it can be defeated by community.
