"Singing Praises" looks at the role music plays in our life of faith. The command to sing is all throughout the Bible. Scripture has many songs woven in. We go and sing at church on Sunday, but what about the rest of the time? Do we sing God's praises? Why is music so important? Why is music so powerful? Our new series is Women in Jesus' Genealogy. This series looks at the 5 women mentioned in the first chapter of Matthew. Up first is "Tamar" and her quest for justice with Judah. The last message of Those in Need is about "The Abandoned." All those people that have nobody left to look out for them get special attention from God. How are we called to respond? The second message in Those in Need is "The Poor." What does the Bible have to say about the poor? How should we give? Do we always live up to expectations? How can we change our views? Let us serve God by helping those in need. The scripture readings come from Leviticus 25:35-43, 1 John 3:16-24, and Luke 3:7-14.

Immigrants hold a special place in scripture. "The Immigrant" is the first message in Those in Need. How does the Old Testament speak about immigrants? The New Testament? What specifically do we learn about Christ in Matthew that connects us to immigrants? Let us serve God by helping those in need. Our scripture readings come from Deuteronomy 10:12-22, Ephesians 2:11-22, and Matthew 2:13-15.

We have a special Independence Day sermon! "Called to Freedom" looks at our nation, our faith, and our responsibility. Are we a perfect nation? A perfect people? What does our freedom mean? How is it a responsibility? We look at this and more as we celebrate our nation and our faith! Our scripture readings come from Deuteronomy 10:12-13, 17-21 and John 8:31-39.

The last message in Fathers of Faith is “Jacob: To Be a People.” What is the promise that comes with the change in Jacob's name? Was Jacob chosen because he was flawless? Do we allow God to bring us together? To let us be a people? Let us rejoice in our shared faith! The scripture readings come from Genesis 28:10-15 and Genesis 35:1, 9-15.

The next message in Fathers of Faith is "Isaac: Child of Promise." What is the promise that comes with the birth of Issac? What can we learn from Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar? Do we get ahead of ourselves sometimes? Do we try to get God to go where we want instead of following where God is leading? Let us rejoice in our shared faith!
