When Jesus rode on a donkey into Jerusalem, which we know of as Palm Sunday, there was no turning back for Him. Jesus always kept His eyes on the prize. He pressed on, even though pain, discomfort, and suffering awaited Him. Not only would Jesus fulfill prophetic history, He would also fulfill His story. He was more concerned with the things of the Father, than His very own life. This is why we celebrate who Jesus is. Jesus never looked back, He pressed on because He knew the end of the story.

In this letter, Paul helps his friend Philemon to reconcile with his escaped former slave Onesimus and shows that they are equals because of Jesus.

Life is filled with good, bad, and the ugly. We like the good, try our best to deal with the bad, but then comes the ugly...that part, we respond to it in different ways. Jesus leads us through good times, bad times, and definitely has a way walking with us through the ugly.

In 2 Timothy, Paul is near execution and offers a personal challenge to Timothy to keeping following Jesus no matter the sacrifice and risk.

It seems that as every week goes by, something new pops up. Spiritual struggles, emotional pain or setbacks, health issues, and mental fatigue, are just a few of the things that pop up on a daily basis. God gives us each morning anew, and because of His faithfulness, we have hope.

In 1 Timothy, Paul shows Timothy how to restore order and purpose to the church in Ephesus which has been disrupted by false teachers.

Everyone has a unique journey with God. That's what makes life interesting...everyone has a different story and a different journey. When we understand that we are all on different journeys with the same God, we begin to support each other, rather than judge one another or tear each other down.

Hope. It’s the promise in which we, as believers, hold on to, especially in life’s harshest moments. But how do we remain hopeful in those moments? How can we remain hopeful in times of heartache and hardships? We’re going to discover that the same hope that Paul discusses to the believers in 2 Thessalonians is the same confident hope that we can encounter today.

God is able to make new paths for us. When God tells us to forget the former things, that means it's possible to do so. For some, it's difficult to forget some of the things said or done to us in the past. But maybe that's the problem...we think it was done to us. I need to remember that sometimes people do things, not because of who we are, but because they're broken people. God is able to bring healing to all our lives and our hearts.

In 1 Thessalonians, Paul directs the persecuted Thessalonian Christians to hope in the future of king Jesus' return who will make all things right.

The church has gone through so many difficulties throughout history, yet still prevails. This is only possible when the church keeps to their mission and follows Jesus.

Paul was writing to the people of Colosse from prison where he wanted to encourage them and to also bring correction. He knew they were dealing with diluted messages of Christ and swaying of beliefs of who Jesus really was. In today’s world how can we remain loyal and avoid being misled? If we have the right information, we can then form the right goals in order to stick to God’s plan for us, and then transform into the people that God wants us to be.

Job was having such a hard time that he would rather skip out on life, than deal with the pain and suffering he was going through. His complaint, maybe not his complaint, but his observation was, "There is no sense in being born only to suffer." Job felt that it would’ve been better to skip life, and come from the womb and head straight to the grave. If we're not careful, we will think life is only true life when everything runs smoothly. If we only want life to run smoothly, we will miss out on life. Life is made up of 10% of what happens to you 90% how you respond to what happens to you.

The book of Philippians shows how living as a Christian means seeing your own story as a living expression of Jesus' story. Knowing Jesus is a deeply personal and transformative encounter.

Your plan is for the whole world. Not just some people, all people. Nothing can stop Your plan. Your hand is reaching for all people, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Jesus stretched out His hands and died for us, so we could find redemption and be the extension of His hands to a world in need.

In the book of Ephesians, we learn how the gospel creates a new multi-ethnic, covenant family of God, and affects our story and how we live every day as a body of new humanity unified in love.⁠

True life comes from repentance. Otherwise, we take on offenses. We need to turn away from offenses, not towards them. We must rid ourselves of the offenses we've committed and get a new heart and new spirit. Which means it’s possible to be renewed! If not, we have no life in us. God takes no pleasure in the death of anyone. We need to be led by Jesus, where there are springs of living water, rather than just our emotions.

In the Book of Galatians, believers learn that the gospel of Jesus, not the laws of Torah, justifies them, adds them to a multi-ethnic family, and equips them by the Spirit to love God and others. When people trust in Jesus as Messiah and put their faith in Him, His life, death, and resurrection become theirs. They are new creations, free from the requirement to follow the laws of Torah. They now join a new multi-ethnic covenant family of Jesus, thus fulfilling God's promise to Abraham. Because of Jesus and the Spirit, believers learn to love God and others.

Isaiah prophesies perfectly who Jesus was to be, what Jesus would do, and how we would benefit. We receive the blessing of His spoils because He poured out His life unto death. Jesus took on our sins and interceded for us before the Father.
