When God put Adam in the Garden of Eden, He gave him instructions to eat of any tree freely, except from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Then God created woman, and for whatever reason, both Adam and Eve ate of the tree God said not to eat from. Their one decision to disobey God caused eternal consequences. When Jesus won the battle in the Garden of Gethsemane, He once and for all put an end to the eternal consequences from Adam and Eve's disobedience.

Looking back at 2019 and looking forward to 2020! We will be reflecting on everything that has happened here at NHC and all that God has blessed us with! Pastor Sheldon will also cast vision for what's to come in 2020!

What would our life look like if we were to live at our maximum potential? The bible tells us about Daniel, who was known for living ten times more than his average. We can learn a few things from his life on how to reach our maximum God-given potential as a church and as individuals.

Jesus asked His disciples "Who do you say that I am?" Because it's who we say Jesus is in our lives that has a profound impact in it.

The Bible says that we are supposed to be witnesses for Jesus to those we encounter. But how can we witness Jesus to others if we don't witness Him in our lives? How do we witness Jesus to the fullest? We're going to discover what it means to be a witness for Jesus.

Sometimes we might feel lost or just a part of the crowd. However, God sees us in the midst of the crowd and calls us to become more and more like Him.

We are created in the image of God. When He created us, He had a plan and purpose for our lives that go far beyond our time here on earth. If all we were meant to do was to develop a relationship with God, He would have taken us to Heaven, the minute we said “yes” to Him. We are made for more. We are made to be salt and light, and to have an eternal impact on those we encounter.

We are made in the image of God, yet it is our own image that we struggle with the most. The world paints a mirror of who we should be, how we should look, what we should wear, how much to weigh, and what to chase after. The bible tells us differently.

Just because I'm approved by God, doesn't mean He approves of everything I do. We cannot confuse the two, lest we live to try to please people more than we do God and at the same time, do whatever we feel like doing.

God’s Blessing comes when He speaks to us and then we follow through with doing what He says.

As a believer, I will either live to be used by God or use God to live. That’s the difference between Christians who make a difference in the world and worldly Christians. We want to be Christians who make a difference in this world for the glory of God.

God has given each of us a unique plan and path to take. He will also show us how to balance out our lives so that we can enjoy life to its fullest.

God has given us a life to be shared and a message to be given. All of our life experiences make up the story of our life as a believer. Every believer in Jesus has a wonderful testimony to share with others so that they too would come into the family of God.

Sometimes we go through things in life and we wonder why we go through them. Sometimes we ask God, "Why me?" God will never waste a hurt, a painful situation, or a difficult season. He will even use it to reach people for Him.

Everyone has weaknesses. God's word to us is that He will be strong in our weaknesses. It is in our weaknesses that we will see the glory of God.

When it comes to prayer joined to fasting, there is a power that is not due to the individual, but because of the power of God. Fasting is not about getting something from God or moving God into action. It is aligning ourselves with the potential of His power through applying His principles of obedience as we participate in His promises.

It takes a long time to develop a mind like a servant. The reason is because we have grown up thinking about self. But once we come into a relationship with Jesus, our mind must shift to thinking more like a servant than thinking of self.

As a believer, prayer is part of the lifestyle of following Jesus. It's a prayer life of worship, asking, thanksgiving, and spiritual warfare.

In the world, success is seen as how many people serve you and how much you can gain. In the Kingdom of God, success is how many people you serve and how much you give.
