We can get lost in the power of prayer, godly wisdom, applying God's Word, seeking direction from the Lord that we forget how important and valuable our time with Jesus is.

We all want to do things with excellence, rather than perfection. Perfection is doing things without any mistakes or errors. A spirit of excellence is doing the best you can with what you have. God deserves our very best.

We will never use our life for God until we truly understand how to specifically use every area of our life for Him. But when we do, we'll be able to make the greatest impact in this world for Him.

When Jesus said to pray, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one," it comes with knowing that God will give us the opportunity to be strengthened through the temptation, and that victory will be ours for the taking. It all depends on our response to temptations.

Like any invention that was designed with a reason, so too are we designed for a reason. God designed us with specific talents, gifts, and skills to be used for His glory. We are most satisfied when we live out of our relationship with God in how we were designed.

Not only have we done wrong things, we have also neglected to do the right things. Which leads us to asking God to forgive us as we forgive those who have done wrong to us.

Many of us know “what” we do when it comes to career, family, or talents, but we have yet to discover “why” God created us the way He did. He gave us a certain personality, certain gifts and talents, as well as many other influential traits. There is a reason why God is making us more like Him.

Growing in Jesus doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time to mature as a believer. Godly character cannot be forced, hurried, sped up, or rushed. Just like how fruit takes time to mature, so does our maturity in Christ.

God invites us to come to Him to be refreshed, renewed, and restored both physically and spiritually. All of our nourishment comes from Him as a result of a disciplined prayer life.

Whenever there’s an overwhelming sense that you are not able to overcome and defeat temptation, it’s an indication that you’ve been listening to Satan more than God. God says that He will pour more into you than is poured onto you. In other words, God will always provide the out, when temptations seem overwhelming.

God doesn’t tempt us, but He will use it to grow us. Temptation gives us the choice to do good things and to grow in our relationship with God.

It is often believed that if God wants to do something, He'll just do it. God does not see us as pawns in a chess game that are merely used to dispose of once the assignment is accomplished. We are responsible for inviting His Kingdom to come and for His rule into this world. Especially into my own life.

Difficulties can transform your life to be greater. But it won’t happen automatically, you must choose that. God has a purpose for every trial we go through. How can we use the trials we go through, to make us more like Jesus?

Have you ever spilt the milk at the dinner table? Or ever made a mess of something or a situation? Many times we walk away from the "mess" in our lives, with our heads down, hovered by a banner of failure. Tonight, we'll look to see what God thinks of our mess and how we, with God can overcome our failures.

Dad's are heroes to their children because dad's can do anything! (In the eyes of their children of course). We do however have a heavenly Father who knows best and He gave us His Word to bring out the best in all of us.

When Jesus says to pray, "Hallowed be Your name," it literally means, "Holy be Your name." These words are an invitation to receive the transforming power of prayer, so that we can fulfill life's greatest purpose, worship. A faith that transforms is one where we find ourself in worship at the throne of God.

Growing up in age is automatic. Growing up in God is intentional. We have to decide and commit to growing in God if we want to be successful in life and as a family.

Nothing is more paralyzing when it comes to prayer than not having confidence in our relationship with God. When Jesus instructs us to pray to God as the Father, He helps us to understand the kind of relationship we are to have with Him. This gives us the confidence to pray.

When we are born, shortly thereafter, we begin to take on character qualities and the likeness of those who surround us. When we are born again as a believer in Jesus, shortly thereafter, we begin to learn to take on the character qualities and the likeness of Jesus. We will always battle between these two different qualities. But the goal is to become more like Jesus.
