Hearing the voice of God is more than trying to recognize His voice, it's about putting into practice what He says. But in order for us to obey Him, we need to be committed to hearing His voice. It takes time to learn the voice of God and to discern the various ways in which He speaks.

There’s a certain amount of fear that comes over us when we think about giving our all to God. When we hear the word “surrender” it seems like defeat. But when we surrender to God, it is an act of victory.

It seems like a daunting task to please God with our life, knowing the kinds of things we think and the things we do. We’re going to learn from a man by the name of Noah lives in such a way that pleased God.

Go to any sporting event where there are parents cheering on their children and you'll see approval and disapproval. When we think about anything that is worthy of praise it means that we approve of what we are praising. God deserves the highest of praise because of all that He has done and for the fact that He died for every single person who has ever existed and for those who will be born in the future, not while we were good, but while we were still sinners.

I'm sure every person has asked the question, "Why am I here?" Sometimes we wonder what our purpose is. God planned us for His pleasure as the Creator, but what does that mean and how do I live out my life to accomplish this purpose?

Everyone wants to do things with excellence. We all want things done well. But when it comes to thinking about what is excellence, it has more to do with how we feel and our actions to do things with moral goodness than it is about doing the best that you can. When we're able to think about what is excellent, we're able to think about high moral standards rather than just doing things well.

Every person has a different perspective when it comes to life. God also has a perspective, and His perspective is the best perspective to have. He sees everything from beginning to end, therefore, His perspective will always be greater and better than ours.

There are many opinions in our world today, many claim that what they're speaking of is truth. But if we are to think about what is of good repute, then we will need to be the kind of person who is able to listen more to what the Lord is saying, than what the world is saying. The question is, "Whose report will I believe," and "Will it consume my thinking?"

We live in a temporary world with a temporary life, therefore, time is precious and we should make every moment count with greater purpose.

When we are able to think about what is lovely, we're able to think about the things that are acceptable and pleasing to God. And in order for us to know what is acceptable and pleasing to God, we will need to know what God detests first.

God made us to last forever. Our life here in this earth is temporary. He is preparing a place for us and one day, when it is ready, He will come and take us to our eternal home.

When it comes to thinking pure thoughts, we normally confine thinking pure thoughts only to lust or sexual sin. But it is much broader than that.

God is the reason why we're here. He is the reason why we exist. Therefore, everything is about God and everything should be done for Him and His glory.

We are taught as earliest as possible in life to do what is right. But who determines what is right and what is wrong? There must be something to guide us when it comes to what is right.

I may not think about it, but something guides your life. Every decision you make is guided, directed, and controlled by something or someone.

We're always faced with making decisions that honor God, our families, and our personal integrity. The challenge for us is to develop the kind of thinking that is consistent with what is honorable.

My birth was planned by God. My life is not an accident or a mistake, it was all fashioned and created by God Himself. Even though there are some parents who did not plan the birth of their child, it doesn't mean that God didn't plan that birth. He took everything into account, even sin.

There is so much information available at our finger tips, that at any given time, we can find out whatever we need to, with whatever question we may have. The problem is not that we're not able to find the information we need, the problem is if what we do find out is true.

Everything began with God. He was before any beginning. God always existed, so He has no beginning. We do. And because of that, we must remember that life is not about us because it never began with us, life is about God because it all began with God.

Darkness can never extinguish light. This is true physically as well as spiritually. God gave us His Spirit, God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If God lives in me, I too have light that is able to extinguish the darkness that tries to overpower me.
