Every Christian should be being discipled. Each of us should have a plan for how we are going to grow in our relationship with Jesus. It starts with us. The most important discipleship relationship I will ever establish is with myself.

When we hear the word "hero", we may have different ideas of what or who is a hero. Some are fictional, some are people we read about in the news, and some are real live people we know. But what qualifies someone to be a "hero"? We will take a look at the life and the heart of Jesus our Lord, Savior and Hero.

One of the most important ways that we grow in our relationship with God is how we hear and listen to His Voice. In a world filled with so much noise, we can become deaf and miss the voice of God. But when we learn to listen to God’s voice, we will also learn about who God is and the heart He has for us.

We don’t like messes. Especially when it comes to our lives. But the truth is that although we want a mess-free life, we live in a messed up world, filled with messy people. And whether it’s a mess that comes from a broken past, or a mess resulting from living in this messed up world, or a mess that was made by our own sin and actions, each and every one of us have our own mess. But even in the mess of life, we can discover the MESSage that Jesus has for our lives.

Every test we go through and every uncomfortable situation my life might encounter, could possibly be that which is the greatest growing season of my life. I just need to recognize it when it comes. There are so many benefits when I find myself in uncomfortable situations and rise from it.

In a wedding, here in Hawaii...it is all about the bride. There is something significant when it comes to the bride. As important as the bride is, when we read scripture, it is all about the Bridegroom. Jesus calls us to join Him.

God created man and woman out of the value of relationship. Every difficult situation we find ourselves in most likely ties back to relationship. Valuing relationships has the power to change the atmosphere around us, starting in our own lives.

After Jesus rose from the grave, He gave His followers an assignment, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." After He gave them this commission, He ascended into Heaven. We know this assignment as the Great Commission. It's a great assignment, and we need a great leader to complete it. This is why we follow Jesus.

We can live hurried lives rushing from one commitment to another and multitasking in between. We were not created to live hurriedly. Tonight we will discover how we can put Hurry behind us.

The law of cause and effect states that every cause has an effect and every effect becomes the cause of something else. We reap what we sow. This is why what we put into our minds should be carefully vetted. Our actions are a result of our thoughts. In the same way, when I make small adjustments to a new life, there is a ripple effect where much good can be brought into this world.

The word UNCONDITIONAL is simply defined as not being limited by conditions. When it comes to the unconditional love of God, we discover that He loves us beyond our conditions or our circumstances. He loves us because of who He is. And while there are many stories throughout the Bible that we see this take place, there is a powerful moment that reaffirms the unconditional love of God that is found in Jesus.

We all want life to be better. We may have even said those words when someone asks us, "How are you doing?" We reply, "Could be better." Then they respond, "Could be worse!" Although both are accurate from their perspective, God has a better plan to work all things together for our good. We are lost in our sins if left alone. But God showed us His love by sending us Jesus to take away our sins so that we could live the best life possible.

In a world where things are constantly changing, we need something that brings security and stability into our lives if we're ever going to succeed in our relationships, careers, and vision for our lives. We are introduced to so many classes, webinars, books, philosophies, ideologies, techniques, and practices that sound great, maybe even make us feel good. But when life happens and you're carrying a burden or problem so heavy that these things buckle under the pressure, it is reassuring that there is someone who has never buckled under pressure, in fact, He enters into the pressure and always comes out alive. This is Jesus.

Mankind does its best to save itself. We use religion, technology, ideology, economics, politics, and war. If we could save ourselves, we'd have done it by now. the truth is, there is only one way for us to be saved from everything that tears our lives apart. It is through the Son of God, Jesus Christ. God risked it all on His only begotten Son.

We read about Jesus in the Bible and as Christians try to be more like Him. But what does that really mean and how do we know if we’re on the right path? How do we even begin? The good news is that you’re not alone and with this community of believers we can take this journey together!

In 1 Corinthians Paul describes how the message of the cross seemed like foolishness to the world but to those who believe it is all God’s power. How can we use the “foolishness” of the message cross to strengthen our faith and share it with others?
