God is more concerned about the person we are than the choices we make. Learn this week how to grow in wisdom to become more like Christ in the big and small decisions we make.

This new sermon series is going to be all about Open Doors and how to see where God is leading our lives and what it takes for us to choose the right doors to go through! The one thing every open (or closed) door has is the unknown element of what is on the other side - and this can be exciting or scary! Over the next few weeks we'll spend time together as God leads us to recognize the doors he is opening for us and helps us walk through those doors with confidence!

We continue our series on what makes the Grove so Grove by talking about unity and the ways in which we love each other as we are on mission with Jesus.

This week we learn how as a church we will be willing to "go there" as we interact wtih people, culture, and the bible.

The very earliest followers of Jesus were called 'members of The Way' and it was actually quite a long time before Christians were called Christians. The reason for this is because Jesus came to earth to ignite a movement of salvation. He did not come to create a static institution, but to begin a movement of followers who loved God and loved people and came to see people know Jesus in a saving way. This Sunday we are going to look at what it is for The Grove to be a part of The Way and to resist the urge to become just another religious institution.

So Jesus rises from the dead, meets with all sorts of his followers and then ascends to heaven.... and then what are they supposed to do? How do the disciples set up what it is to follow Jesus? And how did we get from there to here? How did we end up with churches, and churches like ours? Over the next several weeks we will be spending time on Sunday mornings considering how God is leading us and what he might be doing in our midst.

The second week of Jesus' teaching on the end of the world. When his disciples asked when the end will come, Jesus had plenty to say, and some of it is quite remarkable.

Matthew 24Matthew 24 and 25 record the very last things that Jesus taught his disciples before his death. They asked him pointed questions about what and when will happen at the end of everything. It's a question that people are still asking today because it's so fascinating and unknown. Jesus' responses are actually pretty specific and show what He considers important to know...and what kinds of things we'd do well to ignore.

Matthew 22:15-46When Jesus walked the earth, the way he spoke and the things he taught often confronted the dominant ideas coming from the religious establishment. Near the end of his life, he actually engaged in debate with his opponents in the Temple in Jerusalem, the very place where God was known to be and to meet with mankind. When those who wanted to silence Jesus asked him public questions to trap him, he actually responded with questions of his own - and ended up implicating the religious leaders who had led people away from God's grace to gain power and influence.
