Tom speaks about the ending of Mark's gospel that leaves us at the empty tomb with the angels command- do not be afraid! But still they are! (and are we?) A reminder of the faithfulness and power of Jesus in his death and resurrection, and why we have good reason to have faith over fear.

Jess tells the story of the first Palm Sunday and examines the expectations people had of Jesus as the promised Messiah. She asks us to examine our own expectations of the triumphant King Jesus in our world today. Are they big enough?

Tom finishes off this series helping us to understand who Satan is, the threat he poses to our faith, and then how the armour of God will help us to stand against him.

What would it look like if our close relationships told the story of Jesus and the church? In this passage about the 1st century household we see Paul address the power dynamics and exhorts the one powerful man to lay down his power to serve others like Jesus and the vulnerable people to submit as if to Christ. How will these principles work in our culture?

Paul exhorts the church to grow into maturity together. Beck explores the 3 key ways outlines in the passage : to be humble towards one another, to do whatever possible to maintain unity, and to give and receive the gifts given to the church by the Lord Jesus.

What do you prayers reveal about you? And what can we learn from the way Paul prays. Peter takes us through this magnificent prayer at the end of Ephesians 3 which captures the fulness of resurrection life.

Living the resurrection life means belonging to a new society where old divisions no longer apply. Peter helps us see how this will shift our focus from ourselves to seeking peace and welcome for others.

In Ephesians 2 Paul gives us a panoramic view of our life before and after we came to Christ. And the difference is stark. We have moved from Death to Resurrection Life. But how does this big picture view help us to live out this new life? Beck points out two things we see about God and one thing we see about ourselves when we step back and remember how we have been saved.

Peter begins our series sermon in Ephesians by calling on us to see that in Christ Jesus we have everything we need to live our lives as his people.
