One Big Problem. Preacher: Noah Soistmann June 30, 2021 Main idea - Our own sinfulness stands between us and true life. (vv. 15-18) In our flesh we cannot desire to do what is good. (vv.19-25) Sin needs to be viewed appropriately. Questions: Do you feel like you are currently trying to find life in places that will only bring disappointment? Do you remember your life before Jesus? What did you think about sin during that time? Do you ever view sin as not a big deal or only a minor issue? What does this text show us about the reality of our sin? Is there any sin that you need to turn from today? What encouragement do you get from the truth of verse 1 of Romans 8?

Community through Humility Philippians 2:1-11 1. Gods children are called to be united together 2. Selfishness always tears down what God is building 3. Text: Psalm 97 Title: Good and Great Preacher: Courtney Huna & Noah Soistmann May 26, 2021 Main Idea: Rejoice in the greatness and goodness of God! I. Creation and the nations bow before the greatness of God (1-7). II. Followers of God rejoice in the goodness of God (8-12). There are few things in this life that are truly jaw-dropping experiences. One of those things is the majesty and beauty of creation. But the glory of creation points us back to the greatness of the one who made it, and followers of God have a reason to rejoice in awe. Questions: What are examples of power without goodness? What are things that remind you of the greatness of God? Where have you seen the goodness of God? Where is it hard to believe the goodness of God? What are things that make you doubt the greatness of God?

One More Day James 5:7-12 Preacher: Courtney Huna May 12, 2021 Main Idea: We endure in the face of struggle because we will soon face Christ. Endurance may be the hardest of all human experience. Whatever the circumstances, pushing through a struggle takes a determination often bigger than ourselves. As James closes out his letter, he reminds believers to endure! But he also shows them the only thing that makes that endurance possible.

Warning Labels Preacher: Max Janusch James: 4:13-5:6 Main Idea: The riches of this world will bankrupt you. Most of us don’t like thinking about the fact that our days are numbered. We’d rather just live day today like nothing will end. However, there’s an irony that as we consider the end we handle our plans and our money differently. We manage them with God in mind. Questions: What are some silly warning labels you have seen? Have you ever been sorry for ignoring a warning label? What is the warning to the first group of people? In what ways have you lived like God doesn’t exist? What does it look live to live with God in mind? How does it change what we think/do/feel? What is the warning to the second group of people? What was their outlook on money? How do you view money & stuff? Do you find a root of greed inside of you? How can we view our ‘stuff’ with an eternal perspective? How would that change what you pursue?
