This week for our Community Gathering for Worship, we welcomed Kyndall Rae Rothaus, a Truett Seminary alumna, to the pulpit. Kyndall serves as the pastor of Covenant Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX. The title for her sermon is: "The Blaze" and is drawn from 2 Corinthians 4:1; 6-11.

Judge Ken Starr, President of Baylor University, delivered the 2013 Fall Convocation at George W. Truett Theological Seminary.

This week, for our "Outstanding Student Preaching Week," highlighting student preaching at Truett Seminary, we welcomed Koby Strawser. The final student in the series, the title for Koby's sermon is: "Redefining Freedom" and is drawn from Acts 16:16-30.

This week, for our "Outstanding Student Preaching Week," highlighting student preaching at Truett Seminary, we welcomed Mary Alice Birdwhistell. The title for Mary Alice's sermon is: "Small Ministry in a Great Kingdom" and is drawn from Luke 23:50-56.

This week, for our "Outstanding Student Preaching Week," highlighting student preaching at Truett Seminary, we welcomed Rev. Christopher Jones. The third student in the series, the title for Rev. Jones' sermon is: "It's Just That Simple" and is drawn from John 11:32-35.

This week we welcomed Caroline Smith to the pulpit for our Community Gathering for Worship. Rev. Smith currently serves as the pastor and counselor for a children's home in an area north of Johannesburg, South Africa. The title of Rev. Smith's sermon is: "What Does Love Require of Us?" and is drawn from Micah 6:8 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-3.

This week, for our "Outstanding Student Preaching Week," highlighting student preaching at Truett Seminary, we welcomed Matthew Hanzelka. The second student in the series, the title for Matthew's sermon is: "Ultimate Reality" and is drawn from Romans 7:15-25.

For his faculty address upon receiving tenure, this week we welcomed Dr. David Wilhite to the pulpit for our Community Gathering for Worship. Dr. Wilhite currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Theology at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. The title for Dr. Wilhite's lecture is: "Iconic Faith"

For his faculty address upon receiving tenure, this week we welcomed Dr. Brian Brewer to the pulpit for our Community Gathering for Worship. Dr. Brewer currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Christian Theology at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. The title for Dr. Brewer's lecture is: "Was Zwingli a Closet Anabaptist?"

For the 2013 W.C. Dobbs Endowed Lecture, we welcomed Dr. Peter Ludwig Berger to the chapel. Dr. Berger serves as the Professor Emeritus of Religion, Sociology, and Theology at Boston University, and former director of the Institute on Culture, Religion, and World Affairs. The title for Dr. Berger's lecture is: "Theology and Sociology" and addresses the questions: "Does sociology challenge theology in the way that other modern sciences have? Is there a 'Christian sociology?'"

This week for our Community Gathering for Worship, we welcomed Dr. Joel Gregory to the pulpit. Dr. Gregory is in his eighth year as Professor of Preaching at Truett. The title for Dr. Gregory's sermon is: "Temporary Tents and Eternal Buildings" and is drawn from 2 Corinthians 5:1-8.

This week we welcomed Dr. Todd Still to the pulpit for our Community Gathering for Worship. Dr. Still currently serves as the William M. Hinson Professor of Christian Scriptures at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. The title for Dr. Still's sermon is: "One Love" and is drawn from 2 Corinthians 5:6-6:2.

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we welcomed Mac McQuiston, President of the CEO Forum, Inc. in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The title of his message is "The Role of the Pastor in the CEO's Life."

For the 2013 Wilson-Addis Lecture, we welcomed Dr. Andrew Purves to the chapel. Dr. Purves serves as the Professor of Reformed Theology at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. The title for Dr. Purves' lecture is: "Who Is the Incarnate Savior of the World? A Conversation with T.F. Torrance on Christology."

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we welcomed Dr. Mike Glenn, who currently serves as the senior pastor of Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, Tennessee. The title of his sermon is: "If You're Scared, Go Home", and is drawn from the text, Judges 7:1-8.

This week we welcomed Dr. Robert Creech to the pulpit for Community Gathering for Worship. Dr. Creech is the former pastor of University Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, and currently serves as the Hubert H. and Gladys S. Rayborn Professor of Pastoral Leadership at Truett Seminary. The title for Dr. Creech's sermon is: "A Pastor's Heart" and is drawn from 2 Corinthians 11:1-29.

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we welcomed Dr. Bill Bellinger. Dr. Bellinger currently chairs the Baylor Department of Religion, in addition chairing the Steering Committee for the Book of Psalms Section of the Society of Biblical Literature. The title of Dr. Bellinger's sermon is: "A Portrait of Faith", and is drawn from Psalm 23.

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we welcomed Mulenga Chela, a pastor visiting from Zambia, as he shares his testimony.

This week, Dr. Hulitt Gloer, Truett Seminary's Dr. David E. Garland Professor of Preaching & Christian Scriptures gave his message entitled "Otherwise."

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we celebrated our Spring Convocation service. Truett Seminary Professor of Theology, Roger Olson, delivered the convocation address, which is titled: "Confessions of an Eclectic, Ecumenical Baptist".
