In many religious circles, it is about following rules. Don't do this, don't do that. Stay away from this. Do this intead. Jesus teaches about this in John 5 when He heals a man on the Sabbath. Listen in as Pastor Drew shares about doing the will of the Father on the Sabbath.

Grace and peace - that's the message in this message. It doesn't matter what our background is or what our circumstances are. When we follow the example of Jesus, we learn that showing people grace and peace will ultimately keep them in communion with us and with Christ.

Our society tells us to look out for #1. We need to make ourselves look good and we need to have the biggest and best. However, this is not taught in the Bible. Every couple of months, cell phone companies, come out with their new "Flagship" devices. These phones are said to be the best of the best and we gotta have it. As Christians, we have a "Flagship Faith" - We have the best of the best because we have a God who loves us and wants to have a relationship with us, but living out a flagship faith can be a challenge. As we look around the world at various goverments and monarchies, we find that they tend behave in a way that benefits them, caring very little for the people of the land. When we think of Christmas, we think of the season of giving. It seems to be the one time of year that more people are trying to outgive each other for the best gifts, to the most charities, etc. However, no one can outgive God. One of the most well known parts of the Sermon on the Mount is when Jesus teaches his disciples about being Salt and Light. When Jesus shared this teaching, His followers understood the value of both salt and light. As Christians, we draw parallel to being salt and light with how our daily lives should be lived. As we continue through the Beatitudes, we find that "Blessed are the mericful" is the first beatitude where the condition mathches the response - "for they will be shown mercy." As living organisms, we need water daily or we will start to thirst. If we go without water long enough we will become dehydrated. When someone becomes very thirsy, he becomes desperate for water. Brands are everywhere. Every company has a brand that they portray the world. Every person also has his/her own brand whether they know it or not.
