An encounter with the glory of the living Christ is indeed a mountaintop experience. Many of us experience those Christ-moments in the worship setting at church on Sunday. Those experiences can be so powerfully moving that we never want them to stop; we want to stay right there on the mountaintop and bask in the glory of our Lord. But, we cannot stay on the mountaintop. The Miracle at the Wedding in Cana was not the public revelation to the world that we typically think it to be. No, the turning of the water into wine was only witnessed by a few, Mary, the six brand new disciples, and the servants who dipped the wine out of the large stone pots.
