Welcome to my 150th Netcast. I spend a lot of time talking about the March 2013 Public Updates to SharePoint and the Office Web Apps and the patches for the Workflow Manager. I also talk about how to use PowerShell to prune out unwanted versions of files. I also explain why all web applicatiosn, even the ones you don't like very much, must get a root site collection.

In this episode I talk about my guest shot on Windows Weekly and how cool that was. Then I talk about Language Packs and why you should be afraid of them. I also talk how I make all those adorable ShortURLs and what can make PowerShell pokey. I wrap up with how to watch my Netcast live on your TV, and how to get free email from Outlook.com.

In our second Netcast from SPTechCon, and this one with an actual live studio audience, Shane and I discuss many important SharePoint issues. We discuss some issues with the People Picker and how to fix it. We also talk about a way to get Search to respond with no results. We discuss a little issue with the UPS and getting it to show you all the Newsfeeds in your organization. We also crack the secret on how to create a Search Service application with PowerShell in SharePoint Foundation. We also talk about some patches and the damage they can do. We wrap up the Netcast by taking questions from the audience.

Tonight's episode is super-sized and chock full of fun SharePoint information. I talk about how to load balance the Office Web Apps and how to quickly do Active Directory syncs in SharePoint 2013. I also talk about your options for using antivirus software with SharePoint and when you should use it. Finally I talk about a problem I troubleshot and the process I went through. The chat room was their normal disrespectful rowdy selves.

Tonight's episode starts off with me excitedly announcing that I won't be going to just one TechEd this year, I'll be going to two! You can see me in New Orleans and Madrid, both in June. Then I cover some fun with PowerShell and some patches that were released last week for SharePoint 2010. The folks at SPDocKit released a new version of their tool and I give it mad props. I finish up discussion Central Admin over SSL, database high availability and DR options, and fancy new SharePoint Visio stencils.

In tonight's Netcast I discuss my SkyDrive Pro blog post, much to the excitement of the chat room. Then I talk about how to use your Office Web Apps 2013 server with multiple SharePoint 2013 farms, and how to secure it. Then I discuss some issues folks might see when they upgrade to SharePoint 2013. On the topic of SharePoint 2013, I discuss some topology considerations. I finish up with a really terrible What Would Shane and Todd Do tshirt, and how you can help make Splunk better for SharePoint.

Tonight's episode was filmed in an undisclosed hotel room in San Antonio. I've brought along my sidekick Shane, and a coworker of ours, Mike. We discuss some changes with Workflows in SharePoint 2013, how I passed the SharePoint Server 2013 exams, the SharePoint 2013 technical library and the new Microsoft Surface hardware. For a netcast recoreded in a hotel room, it was surprisingly not creepy.

Tonight's episode starts out with me going over some of the changes I've made recently to my Netcast. I cover what's worked, and what hasn't worked. Then I give you all an update on the updates that have been breaking poor defenseless SharePoint 2010 and 2013 farms for the last month or so. Then I talk about application pools and why, much like plastic, we should recycle them. I finish up with the definitive explanation of what SkyDrive Pro is and how it compares to SkyDrive.

Tonight's episode fell on my 39th birthday so we celebrated it right. You guys, my faithful viewers, stepped up and donated a bunch of money to charity. It nearly brought a tear to my eyes. I also went over some of the big production changes I introduced last week. So far, the reaction seems to be positive. Then we got down to talking some tech. I talk about SQL aliases, and how you should lay out your SQL drives. We also try to lay to rest the discussion on when you should create a web, a site collection, or web application. I think point to a blog post where someone outlines how terrible my LinkedIn profile is. Good times.

Tonight's Netcast marks a turning point. Big changes are afoot. After nearly four years I'm finally shaking things up a bit and making some improvements. I switched my streaming to UStream, that will give my viewers a better experience and gives me more production options. I also broke out the chatroom to an IRC chatroom. The next couple of months will hopefully include more improvements. I also spend a bunch of time talking about my time at the New Media Expo last week, which was a big part of my motivation for the Netcast improvements. After I get done talking about my Netcats changes I squeeze in some time to talk about SharePoint. I talk about the December 2012 CU for SharePoint 2010, and how the December 2012 Hot Fix for SharePoint 2013 breaks MySites. Another great example of trepidation is an important part of applying patches to SharePoint.

This episode was filmed at the home office in San Antonio, affectionately known as The Castle. I talk a little about The Castle and then I break into the tech news. I start with a couple of new interviews recently released that I was in . Then I talk about some new SharePoint patches that have come out recently. Finally a coworker of mine, Mark Watts tells us some stories about SharePoint 2013.

Tonight's episode is absolutely full of SharePoint goodness, with lots of PowerShell thrown in. I talk about using PowerShell to take some of the pain out of Windows 8 and Windows 2012 by putting Shutdown and Restart tiles on the Start screen. I follow that up a PowerShell issue I had to debug last week around finding out whether a variable was an array or not. Then I talk about how the Workflow History List tried to ruin my week and how I prevailed. I also whet your appetites about Netcast #140.

In tonight's episode I answer (maybe even correctly) a viewer question. I also talk about an update to a popular SharePoint too, SharePoint Manager. I cover how a SQL Server setting doesn't do what you think it does. I finish up with some a way to cheat when doing PowerShell.

In this Netcast I spend a lot of time talking about how to get yourself ready for upgrading to SharePoint 2013. I talk about several steps you can take to make your upgrade less painful. I also talk about some new licensing aspects to SharePoint and give some props to a PowerShell script that does a better job creating AD users than mine does.

This episode nearly didn't happen. The technical difficulties gremlin snuck up on me. Never fear, Netcast viewer or listener, I persaverred and was ablee to record the Netcast anyway. Once I got the cameras rolling I talked about all the fun I had at the SharePoint Conference. I also talk about the October 2012 CU for SharePoint 2012 and a few other little odds and ends. Of course the chat room was their ever-helpful selves.
