Day 151 Online Bible Ready Club ”Seated on a Donkey” (2 Chronicles 13-14; John 12:1-26)
17/02/2023 Duração: 13min2 Chron 13-14 summarizes the battles between the rebel tribes of Judah led by Jerobaom and Judah led by Abijah in Jerusalem. The Chronicler gives theological commentary for the original to trust that God would send a king, the Son of David, to rescue the people. Abijah and Asa's trust in the Lord to fight the battles pointed forward to the Lord Jesus, the true King. In John 12:1-26, we see Jesus declares he is the long awaited Son of David who will be their true king, He declares it without saying a word but by riding a donkey on a familiar path into Jerusalem. It's glorious good news as we read of the triumphal entry for the fourth time in our bible reading journey! See also Matthew 21; Mark 11; and Luke 19.

Day 150 Online Bible Ready Club ”Jesus Wept” (2 Chronicles 10-12; John 11:28-57)
17/02/2023 Duração: 12min2 Chron 10-12 summarizes the division of the Kingdom of Israel during the 17 year reign of Rehoboam, son of Solomon. The Chronicler gives theological commentary on the reasons behind the division, demise, and fall of Israel. In John 11:27-51, we see Jesus' next of his signs- the raising of Lazarus. We see both his divinity: he reveals his knowledge of the eternal decree and the hearts of men and then his ability to raise the dead through the Father's obeying his voice, and also his humanity: he weeps and is deeply moved.
