A hugely powerful DJ on the forefront of cutting edge club music, Katia is riding on the crest of a female-led electro revival in the techno scene and is making waves not only here but internationally. Channelling influences such as DJ Stingray she weaves an immense selection of tunes mixed with surgical precision for your listening pleasure. Originally from Moscow, Russia, Katia now resides here in Sydney. She constantly experiments and looks for unexpected collisions of different sounds. Coming through with the probably the most forward thinking and eclectic mix we've seen thus far, Lazy Suzan takes the listener through a swirling, intergalactic journey of experimental electronica ranging from atmospheric soundscapes and hypnotic arpeggios to pulsating techno and broken beat energetic explosions. Volume 3 and we've gone full UK bass vibes!!! We've been blessed with a featured guest mix from local purveyor of massive bass weight, Alchemist. Her musical journey is rooted in a South London upbringing, exposed to a veritable feast of influences stemming from her Mauritian and French heritage combined with the gritty sounds birthed from the streets and clubs of London itself. Since relocating and making a home in Sydney she has continued a creative path as a singer, performer and producer. Most recently honing her skills behind the decks, tearing up parties from the likes of Dungeon, VOID, Riot, RPK as well as Regrowth, Dragon Dreaming festivals, proving herself ready and willing to bring a sound system to life with big bass weight and frantic, precise mixing in any situation you might land a sub on. The Majestic Bogan Raver has been a stalwart of the Swerve crew since it's inception in 2013 and it's humble beginnings as just a few mates spinning tunes on a Saturday afternoon on Bondi Beach Radio as a pre-drinking warm up dance session for the weekend. Swerve is BACK! Opening up for us on our new podcast series is our good friend, the immensely talented Slamb. Our boy has been making huge waves globally with his unique brand of sample based house, built for the dancefloor and influenced by rnb, hip hop and disco classics. With recent releases on Axe on Wax, Blaq Numbers, Brighter Days, Nerang and Dream Raw; Slamb's meteoric rise is sure to continue with new projects and tours on the horizon.
