Finnish DJ and producer LUMI will arrive on HE.SHE.THEY on the 3rd May with a 3-track EP titled ‘Who Am I’. Merging her heritage with her explorative musical nature, LUMI has quickly established herself as an artist of both style and substance. HE.SHE.THEY is a platform designed for those who push boundaries, creating a sanctuary, a place without prejudice and where people can be people. Over just three tracks LUMI is able to demonstrate an intuitiveness for her sound that has been key to her early success. HARDPROOF VA Series Returns To Marcel Fengler’s IMF Imprint. To celebrate the 240th Local Selection mix, Cork-native, NYC-based selector STE-VÍ, once half of the Hanley Brothers, takes us on a journey through the golden age of techno. Mixed entirely on vinyl, the young selector glides through a collection of tribal-kissed 90s classics featuring cuts from Marco Bailey, DJ Shufflemaster, Joris Voorn, Hardcell, and others. Elements Electric is a brand new label out of Dublin, Ireland being brought to life with the latest release from acclaimed local producer Peter Sweeney aka Rustal (393 Records, Diffuse Reality). Heart Drives The Machine is the name of this aptly titled 4-tracker. This is an expansive techno record that touches on acid, electro, house and the aforementioned techno, all of it heavily imbued with influences from the American midwest, most notably Detroit - maintaining the long running connection between the Irish capital and the home of techno. ntrinsic Rhythm is delighted to release new music by Irish Electro great Decal (Alan O'Boyle) that was initially planned for his "Trama Industries" label in the early 2000's with 4 across the physical 12" vinyl release and 8 digitally. Decal on this release - "At the time I'd have been fairly upfront about wanting to release tracks that were faster than most and in a style that wasn't straight electro. Some of these tracks fell into a weird middle ground for me, so they got put aside. It had been 20 years since I'd heard any of them and on listening back I reckoned that time had been kind to them so I started remastering them and uploading to Soundcloud alongside some classic 12" releases from my label Trama Industries. For me, it was interesting to hear sounds and techniques emerging on some later tracks that would form the basis of my later projects like Legion Of Two and Of One. I'd kinda forgotten about that.
