Aussie-American acoustically driven rock ‘n’ roll quintet THE WALK-A-BOUT hail from the artistic East End of Long Island, New York. Loren has performed professionally in the CT area in a variety of musical situations for over 40 years. He has played and sung in rock, jazz, and even a disco group, as well as a Portuguese band, when he was 15. He was leader, composer and arranger for the new age/jazz ensemble Confluence, and Sliders, an eight-piece band featuring 5 trombones. Besides keyboards, he has been known to perform on trombone and hammered dulcimer, and sang second bass in Chorale Connecticut. “Out to Sea” is the debut Instrumental Progressive Rock Album by Fernando Perdomo, guitarist and bassist of the Dave Kerzner Band. The album draws inspiration from classic 70s Art Rock albums by the likes of Steve Hackett, Peter Banks, Steve Howe, and Jan Akkerman. Acclaimed artist Paul Whitehead painted the cover image. Singer songwriter Nemo James has just released a new album, Weave. It is a delightful piece of work. From the press release" 40 years ago Nemo James, singer songwriter and author of the autobiography “Just a Few Seconds” sat in front of a record company executive playing his latest compositions. He was told the songs were very good but there was no market for his James Taylor style of music. Fast forward four decades and James Taylor is still recording and selling out concerts while all the other music fads have come and gone.  

Canadian hard rockers Thunderbird are releasing their anticipated self-titled third album on Delinquent Records on April 25, 2018! “Thunderbird” was recorded in Vancouver BC, produced by Marc LaFrance and Kelly Stodola and mixed by famed engineer Mike Fraser.   Says lead singer & producer Marc LaFrance, “The album is like a collection of short stories. I am singing the songs as different characters, or telling their tales. A gallery of rogues from the dark side!”   Musically, the songs are inspired by classic hard rock. I really don't know where to start. The revolving door at the Whie House has had another busy week. In the 80's I worked for the largest Oil company in Canada, Fridays were the layoff day of the week. Shawn Phillips, one of music’s most daring, influential and enigmatic figures, has an announced the release of his new album, Continuance, via Tunecore Distribution. The record – Phillips’ 26th solo effort – sees the genre-bending singer-songwriter and virtuoso guitarist, who was once described by Bill Graham as “the best-kept secret in the music business,” mixing hard rock, blues, funk, jazz, classical and New Age into an enthralling, singular style of expression. “I didn’t set out to create this album for people who want some background music while they’re having dinner,” says Phillips. “And it’s not something to be sampled piecemeal. I wanted to make a complete experience, a record that takes you on a journey both musically and lyrically. That’s all I’ve ever done.”

Guitarist/Songwriter David Fitzpatrick who has led Milwaukee’s Dave Fitzpatrick Band for decades will release his first major solo work entitled “Parachutes in Hurricanes” on Daystorm Music. Known for his production résumé, musician/engineer/producer Gary Tanin (Jack Spann, Sam Llanas, Roger Powell, Daryl Stuermer) was recruited to collaborate on Fitzpatrick’s solo opus due to arrive April 27th.    Nearly three years in the making, many musicians provided their artistry along with core members of David’s band. Fitzpatrick and Tanin spent countless session hours crafting the melodies and arrangements that resulted in the compositions on the album. “It was an extensive undertaking that could only have been steered by this songwriter’s single-minded passion for perfection,” explains producer Gary Tanin, “It took David's uncompromising excellence, courage, persistence, and dedication to the art form. I'm extremely proud of our achievement.”

There are pianists and there are composers, and then there is Richard Dillon! His latest work is Terra Incognito and it is a veritable aural feast. Predictions are that Scot Pruit may be the next victim of Trumps Grim Reaper. McConnel and Ryan are worried about a blue wave in November. Are Fox and Friends on the Whitehouse payroll? F&F say something dumb and minutes later Trump tweets it as his new policy.

The speed of the revolving door at the Whitehouse has picked up speedpeople are now leaving before they even enter. The March For Life saw participation in every state and more than 800 events were held. But will this spur Congress into action? I havs my doubts. Trumps travails with ladies continues, but I doubt it will shake his base. Even the good evangilicals seem unphased at his actions.

Is it just a 'stormy in a teacup'? This week has seen the Stormy story take off in new and possibly dangerous directions for Trump. FBI's McCabe got his marching orders 2 days before he was due to retire, fair or spitefull? Tillerson fired on Twitter, now that is a new one. GOP loses PA 18, is this a wake up call for the mid-terns?
