During those years, Chiaravalle has co-written and recorded with McDonald, co-writing four tracks on his superb 2000 release Blue Obsession, as well as co-producing it. They have written over two dozen songs together. Bernie also has a song on the legendary Judy Collins duets album Strangers Again. Shortly after graduating from Manhattan School of Music, Mitch began touring and recording with Gerry Mulligan, playing in both his big band and quartet. Work with Stan Getz followed. In 1980 his solo career began with a piano performance at the Newport Jazz Festival. This recording became Mitch’s first album, “Live at Newport”. In 1975 she audition for Latin artist Coke Escovedo at the suggestion of a friend. Within two years he was playing at local clubs and events around the San Diego area, which includes opening up for smash RnB group Lakeside. He also played with Gospel Legend Shirley Caesar at age 16. After graduating from high school, Williams did a four-month tour of Japan with other young talented musicians, which he states as being "unforgettable".
