Generation Justice deeply mourns the loss of Matthew Finch, the Music Director of KUNM. Mateo, as we called him, was a fundamental anchor of support for us at Generation Justice and before that-- The KUNM Youth Radio Project. In the span of 19 years, Mateo was always a step and phone call away to offer us support. He trained so so many youths on how to use the massive music library. He loved providing training on music history, genres, and artists. He often gave us music and advice on how to blend our sounds and bed music for our productions. He was so committed to artists who needed KUNM airwaves as a vehicle to share their talent and that commitment as we know focused on New Mexican talent.
