Generation Justice

This program features an extended interview with Pilar and Frank Leto, the directors of Music and Dance: Carnaval 2015 “Port to Port” about love, dance, culture and identity. They’ll also be talking about the history of Carnaval and Afro-Cuban culture in New Mexico. We also announce legislative bills and memorials to keep an eye on.

To honor the first day of Black History Month, 1st Year Generation Justice Fellow, Jason Fuller, spoke with the owners of Mr. Powdrell's Barbeque House. We discussed food and culture in New Mexico, over the last 50 years, through the stories and insights of Joe and Rita Powdrell. We also explored the importance of history, entrepreneurship, innovation, and much more!
